@MrDenLion I agree with you that russian have better choppers but for jets.... it's a mather of style... USA has stealth jet that could be used for some purpose while russian have as you say better fighting jets. No jets is THE best. you have one that is faster but the faster they are the less maneuvrable they are. even tho they will soon be replaced by unmaned jets. right now they can't turn in circle for too long at hight speed because the pilot will faint. Drones are the future

Did he just say that the Su-34 is gona replace the Su-17 and MiG-27??? Someone didn't do their homework. Russians quit using Su-17 in the mid 1980's and MiG-27 is only now a testbed if even that. Perhaps I would've thought it might replace the Su-24 but the others are obviously a mistake.

@strizhi Can you please think before posting a comment?? Yes, the soviet union at that time quit producing the Su-17 in the mid 80's. But since they stop proucing new aircrafts do you think they will just disband all aviation units, crews, and services? Of course not!! So, they will start replacing the old aircrafts with the new Su-34.

@beamthegreat1 He said the "Su-34 will eventually replace Su-17" meaning that Su-17 is stil in existence in the Russian air force which is obviously not true and neithe1r is the MiG-27. Su-34 is really meant to replace Su-24. I don't know what you're referring to me bout thinking before posting but I happen to know a bit bout their air force then these nutjobs. In fact thats no different then saying something so rediculous as..."the F-22 will eventually replace the P-51 Mustang".

@beamthegreat1 Not only did they stop producing those planes in 1980's but they DID disband those aircraft and sold them off to other nations. Su-24 and Su-25 replaced both of them and Su-34 will replace what I just mentioned as well. I think you need to read up before replying to me.
