If you check the MTV-related (who distributed it in the US) web site clonehighusa, and read the staff info, you might be surprised to see that everyone involved was American (including the creators/producers, writers, lead artists, musical performers, and voice actors). Like I said, it was more popular in Canada than the US, but the show is American-made.
