@excalibunny Haha, yes they are! Thanks so much. I am hoping to do more tightly focused vids, but have been on a time crunch lately & had some computer issues that have affected my videos. But - yes, I'll take your advice and definitely try to focus more on individual film reviews! Thanks for watching & commenting!
@RazMansReality Thanks man. I don't really have a B&N near me either - these were about 30 miles away, which stinks since the one only about 10 miles away doesn't carry movies. Thanks for watching & commenting!
Great Haul man. I really want to see Crumb. I'm kind of disappointed in myself that I didn't pick up Vampyr during this sale. Oh well, there's always November. That stack at the end is huge. I only ended up picking up a few more since the video we made. Awesome stuff and thanks again for the shout out!
@CJMolinaTube No problem on the shoutout - people should definitely watch your channel! Crumb is one of my favorites, such a peculiar documentary. As for your Criterion haul, that vid you did with Caitlin was so hilarious! I know you're busy, but I'd love to see an update vid with the other Criterions you got recently. Thanks for watching & commenting - I appreciate you supporting my channel.
@MrBlueberry81 Thanks! Your the first person to mention anything about my shirt! I had been looking for a BOF shirt for awhile, so I was pretty stoked to show it in a vid. Thanks for watching & commenting - i appreciate you supporting the channel!
@stevenandnicola123 Thanks! Actually I do have those, I saw Blow Out for the first time when it released. I thought it was amazing. The way he pieces together the incident, so cool. As for Friends of Eddie Coyle, I picked it up a couple of years ago. Peter Boyle is great and I thinks FOEC might be Mitchum's best performance (as many say). But, I still prefer him as a villain in movies like Night of the Hunter & Cape Fear. FOEC is a top notch crime thriller. Thanks for watching!
Z is a political thriller probing an assassination. It's like JFK without the conspiracies. Bigger than life is crazy... Dude you'll like house of games alot, I watched it today. excellent thriller. So much win in your hauls. and we got the same amount, 29.
@bigtoe512 Awesome, Bride of Frankenstein is one of my all time favorites. As for Z, I actually watched one of your vids recently and picked it up based on your comparison to JFK - sounds awesome. Definitely get Missing if you get a chance, it's great. Thanks so much for watching & commenting - I appreciate your support on the channel!
@ANDREWBALLINA I know what you mean. I hadn't heard of a lot of these until recently from other YT vids & watching trailers on Criterion's website. I also have Night of the Hunter - that Criterion is pretty good if you like thrillers from around the time of Diabolique. Both of those films are pre-Psycho and ahead of their time (but still pretty tame by today's standards). OBTW - avoid the 90's Diabolique remake until after seeing the original 50's version. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@BJCHESTER Crumb is amazing! I rented twice before finally buying it on VHS back in the day. There's something so captivating about seeing his story & the interpretation of his work - great stuff. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@billvado79 Haha, not right now - but I do have Darjeeling Limited coming (hopefully) in the mail. I love his movies & all of his Criterions have awesome cover art! Rushmore was one of my earliest Criterion buys besides Chasing Amy & M. I also think I am going to get Fantastic Mr. Fox - it's the only one I haven't seen yet and it's only $10 on Blu-ray right now. Which Wes Anderson film is your favorite? Thanks for watching & commenting!
darjeeling is probably my favorite. there is just something about it that gets to me. but i like the quirckiness of Bottle Rocket. add to the fact that it is Owen and Luke Wilsons first movie, it is pretty cool.
I NEED to see Days of Heaven. I saw some movie stills online and it looks awesome. My brother's friend told him to watch Antichrist and now he's traumatized.
"I bought more than I was planning to" is a common phrase lately... hahaha.
@cutedix Hoop Dreams is an amazing movie & priced really cheap for a Criterion at $12.50 right now. If you are a fan of Crumb, definitely check it out. I love this edition of the film. Thanks for watching & commenting!
Look at this guy doing videos with his girlfriend! Way to make all of us lonely losers to feel even worse! ;) I've read a couple of articles criticizing BORDERS so-called liquidation sale, apparently they did the old trick of jacking UP their prices... and now everything is 40% off of THAT... which of course turns out NOT to be a very good deal at all.
@PlanetBierwagen I actually hadn't made it over to Borders yet - which sounds like no big deal if their prices are this crappy. Maybe if they go 75% or so, now that would be awesome. Keep me updated, there might be some good deals to come at Borders. Thanks for watching & commenting - I appreciate you supporting the channel.
Z and The Naked Kiss are both great films. The Naked Kiss seems like it was probably pretty edgy for its day. Interesting sidenote, Costa Gavras (director of Z and Missing) is the cousin of writer/director Penelope Spheeris.
@Soulgotha I agree Naked Kiss was probably pretty edgy back when. Didn't know that about Gavras & Spheeris - wow, such diversity in that family! That's really interesting. Thanks for watching & commenting!
@MrJoel450 Thanks for the kind words. Z's story is what attracted me to it, but hadn't heard how good the picture quality was yet - awesome! I love documentaries, so Grey Gardens seemed like a great choice. Thanks again for watching & commenting!
Great haul! I picked up Bigger Than Life during this sale too, but haven't watched it yet. But I love Nicholas Ray movies so I'm expecting good things...
Criterions are just so addictive. Love your haul. Make some reviews man.

I watched Missing today and it was great, I'll pick it up in my next (and last) haul.

bah, no Wes Anderson flicks? I know i've mentioned them before. all of his are on the criterion collection.
rushmore is certainly his easiest to watch.
but if i could only pick a couple, id pick bottle rocket and darjeeling limited.
other than that, great picks

How is Insignificance??
LOL I like the game show sound effects.
I NEED to see Days of Heaven. I saw some movie stills online and it looks awesome. My brother's friend told him to watch Antichrist and now he's traumatized.
"I bought more than I was planning to" is a common phrase lately... hahaha.
Awesome haul and thanks for the shout out!
Caitlin0120 7 months ago
@Caitlin0120 I hadn't got to Insignificance yet, but probably will in the next 2-3 days. I will let you know.
Haha, thanks - I had to add in the sound FX to give my gf a hard time!
Antichrist is pretty messed up, I definitely didn't just walk away from that movie unaffected.
Haha, yes I can see that - there are a lot of Criterion O.D.'s right now!! But sadly, I am already making a November list... oh, the addiction!
No problem on the shoutout - thanks for watching & commenting!
