Though do understand it does take time for things to happen, the recession in the 1980s took years to turn around in the 1980s under Reagan (1983 till it did). As for the hold ups in congress the fillibuster has been increased ninefold since Obama became President, they are blocking everything. Again, things take time though in todays instant gratification culture people don't seem to get that.

You're right Obama hasn't been able to deliver many promises. Understand that the President does not make law, he can only sign laws presented to him by Congress. Congress has obstructed many of Obama's ideas. If you are disappointed by the lack of change, blame Congress not Obama.
