Great video, SuperDan88! Is that an HDTV that you are using, or just one with composite out? I have a CRT with regular AV out, no other ports except for a coaxial on the back, and I'm hesitant to get a PS3 because of that.
At any rate, thanks for showing this with a movie and a game, it's very helpful!
there is custom firmware that will allow you to output full screen in a game. It looks pretty good and you get the benefits of homebrew and emulators. i knon you said yours isn't hakced because you want to support devs... but having a hacked psp does not mean your a pirate... i have a hacked psps and still buy my games
Well if you have the GP32 and GP2X, you have devoted handhelds to that scene, so might as well keep your PSP as is and not worry about firmware updates.
thanks for taking time to reply... keep up the vids
With mine the aspect ratio isn't quite right, unless Ratchet wolfed down a few plates of spaghetti on his way to the TV screen. It's not like stretching a standard image to 16:9, but it's definitely stretched. I just got the cable yesterday, so I may just need to fiddle a bit more with the PSP and the TV.
I agree on the buttons. On the old one, sometimes it feels like there is a pebble stuck under a button, even though it doesn´t rattle. Particularly under the O-button, the button sometimes doesn´t go all the way down. First there is a little resistance, then something clicks and suddenly it goes down. I did send it in under warranty, but it never got fixed.
u got dis from dealextreme right?

I've had it hacked in the past but I have a GP32 and GP2X for homebrew... I'm not really into the homebrew scene anymore.

Yeah, that's the best way. I think sony designed the cable to be optomised to their own TV's but I mean just for UMD's the cable is great!

That component cable was they only reason why I swapped my old 1000- model for the 2000.
I actually prefer the feel of the old beefier model.
It feels much better built.

The older model feels better shape wise but all the buttons inculding the square are much nicer on the 2000

Nice one matey - will have to look out for one of these cables and give it a try... Might be useful for PSP GamePlay vids... lol
