  • LOL I mean Victorian

  • Beautiful. I love the Victoriab style homes.

  • I LOVE Victorian homes.

  • That has to be the coolest staircase I've ever seen, and believe me, I've seen plenty of victorian houses. I am definately living in the wrong era.

  • I was definitely born in the wrong time. I love Victorians too. Wish people with $ and an appreciation in history would restore instead of building new with no character or charm.

  • It's a nice place, but get a load of those Christmas decorations, though! "Who knew you'd have to be as rich as the Lords to live in a dump like this." - The Philadelphia Story.

  • our 1907 Craftsman/Victorian was a MAJOR fixer, but 6 years later, so many people here in Montclair, NJ tell us it looks like they've stepped back in time 104 years!

  • The Victorian Style House will make a return to new home building.

  • I in love with this woman's voice!

  • A prosperous time in our history? Is that what she said? Because I don't think i could hear her over the sound of the mansion's Irish maid coughing her lungs up in the bathroom from TB.

  • i just love victorian home's

  • we just bought a project

  • what an annoying voice

  • God, i love the victorian age! <3

  • I live in an 1890 Victorian house... in England (United Kingdom). It's in the neo-gothic style.

There are hundreds of thousands of Victorian houses in the UK, all inhabited. Even Georgian buildings (which preceded the Victorian era) are very common.

They're not an issue like it appears to be over in America. I guess it's because your history is so recent and you prefer to buy newly built houses rather than buying houses from former occupants as is common in the UK.

  • @feralferret aww the house sounds nice. I was wondering if u could give me a general description of the house. I need some info for a project. =\

  • @feralferret In our defense, this may have something to do with so many of the older, though not necessarily oldest, houses in this country being heavily lined with lead paint and asbestos.

  • Gorgeous. I too love victorian.

  • I think people during the early 1900's had a modest, humble opinion of luxury. Now people go way over board when they get a little money. Mansions are over sizes even for just one person. The kids don't take care of their legacy, and it the people's money don't last a generations like they did back in these day. It's shame but I love these houses!!

  • wow I grew up not far from there.

  • does the house have a vintage central vacuum system installed? maybe an arco wand or a spencer vacuum system? if so does it still work?

  • There are homes similar to this in NW Ohio, with many in Findlay, thanks to the gas and oil boom of the late 1880's. Gorgeous homes!!

  • I'm in love with the Victorian age!

  • @OhDirtyMaggieMae

OMG me too! Well, except for the whole out-house thing lol.

  • @OhDirtyMaggieMae i know i was born in the wroung era.

  • i love everything victorian style !
