Though I personally do not practice voodoo, i=I do find it very interesting, I see the thoughts behind the rituals. I'm a vegan so im one of the few people here who can say its not right to kill any animal, but most of us just waste animals. Atleast here they don't just kill kill kill like we do. Just saying they are not savage, this is what they have always known. Saying you are better then them just isnt right. This has been around long then about 90% of other religions anyways...

@1212LeoSnake - goats (& sheep)are very useful animals and also good tempered. they eat any old plants, yet provide milk, and their shit is good compost, so are easy to keep. also some can be trimmed so you get wool too.

some type of bad-magics operate on the principal that to kill such a beasts instead, is going to create dead orgone energy - so they can use the DOR. it's about wrong usage (waste of a good goat) if its done for that reason.

@ZimmermanHound - usually such sacrifices are bad, ie if you take a life to help you achieve something then it's technically wrong.

in terms of god giving instructions on proper ways to kill animals, should you need them for food or clothes etc, then that is where those practices originated, but they have become lost etc. proper means dealing with the fact you released their soul from their body. that is also how it can be misused to do bad work for you.
