This is the first Christian church from which were later developed by Catholic and Orthodox, uneducated cattle. learn something about it first and then comment.
ps. this has nothing to do with Muslims, you idiots
The one and only Holy Byzantine Orthodox Church looks to the East and to the west. We are Byzantium we might be out of Constantinople for now, but we are alive and strong and multiplying in numbers to do the work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ !
We show respect to the Gothics also ! But remember when the great Rennisance period happened and nobody read about Greece it was because we were sacked in Constpl by our supposedly sister Church from Rome/blind sided we were killed Hagia Sophia was robbed of over 1000 years of Gold Silver and Icons,
Read about how great Venice had it during the Rennisance, while we fell victims to the Ottomans, a thank you to our sister Church who claims to hold the keys to heaven ! sorry for my babbling !
Magnificent empire! Is the only empire that I know of that had a deep, rich and powerful spiritual foundation. We the eastern europeans are the lost people of this ''marvellous place'' with this ancient and original Orthodoxy as a guide to GOD. Love for all human beings from Romania!
As for proper navies, it is noteworthy to know that at the high of Byzantium, it was one of the few armies in the west possessed OF a navy. The Persians, having no navy to speak of since the Achaemenid period.
Why did those Byzantines decline so much? Why is it that, in all matters not related to a navy and fortification, they were complete duds compared to their pagan counterparts? Why destroy all Icons, fearing that individual expression on Iconic figures will bring down the wrath of the so called "god" ?
The great powers shouldnt have turned against us when we were rebuilding the Byzantine empire by liberation.. The Greek army was outside Constantinople for fucks sake!
excuse me, but i just noticed that the link you put near the vid, guiding to your site is incorrect. i had to cut /byzantium at the end so i could enter the site. pls check.
Very beautiful video and music. Thank you, Rolandcas! The Eastern Roman Empire was a great civilization. Unofortunately, the Latin Crusadors first and the Ottoman Turks later destroyed most of it. Thank God, it survives in our Holy Orthodox Church. Be well!
Yes, are armenian, but are part of byzantine commonwealth in middle ages. Armenian art, Bulgarian art, Georgian art, Syriac art, Egipcian coptos art, Serbian art, south Italy art, etc. All has a lot influence in byzantine art and vice versa
