There's one similar sketch, probably Don Rickles's first appearance on Laugh In, where he starts cracking up as Tyrone enters singing his song. Rickles couldn't control himself as he's listening to the (unintelligible to me on my 36" TV in '98 watching TV Land reruns) lyrics, but it was hilarious - can anyone point me to that clip? Also the one where the Laugh In crew is touring Beautiful Downtown Burbank and are enthralled with the sights - Eiffel Tower, Sphinx, etc...
I grew up to this show in B&W so colour it's a brand new funny world. Yea, Don Rickles he was holding his own there trying not to crack up or take over, too funny
I remember an episode back when Laugh In was still on, where Gladys says to Jack Benny, "Oh Mr. Benny, I watch your show on TV every night." Jack says to her, "I haven't been on TV for years."
She says, " that's OK I have an old set."
Tyrone comes on in another clip and says, "she sure does."
Having flash backs, oh my, here it goes again... Aaaaahhh, But seriously folks, YESYESYES, More Laugh-In please... by the way, has anyone seen my Bippie? Whew, I just really need and Arti Johnson on his tricycle fix... My Bippie, I know it's around here somewhere... "Thanks for the memories", oops, wrong show. Smile!!!
I second the request for the Arte Johnson Bull Moose poem.. that would be great to see!!! I wish it was available somewhere.. there are only 2 hits on google, and one of them is the comment to this video ;-) The other one is not the video either.
TheRetroCafe: Yes, more Laugh In clips. Loved that show when it was on, and still love it, Thanks for the clips which you have posted. I'm particularly fond of the original cast shows. Sock it to me!!
I needed a couple of clips of Arte Johnson Tricycle skit, but haven't been able to find it any where. If you could post it would be appreciated. Thanks - John
Actually, Laugh-In dispensed with a studio audience after the first few episodes. The show's rapid editing and quick sketches and sight gags, with some bits lasting only a few seconds, made shooting in front of a live audience impractical. Shows that followed the traditional comedy-musical-variety format (Carol Burnett, Dean Martin, the Smothers Brothers, Sonny & Cher, etc.) were taped in front of a studio audience, but even on those shows the audience reactions were often "sweetened."
Me too, watched it live in the 60's. My jaw never failed to drop at the sight of Goldie body-painted. But she later said that she absolutely HATED doing this bit-after knowing that, I can see how "forced" she looks, barely hiding her distaste.
I love the tricycle guy running into the tree and the switchboard operator ones with Lily Tomlin- wish you could find some of those to put on youtube Thanks
the only conversation I have in here is with myself, and I punked my own weak ass long ago. I seem very pleased with myself and my basic 'puter tricks. Such a lame child I am. My parents must be proud!
Ruth Buzzi used to do a character on Laugh In who had a very salacious, suggestive laugh. Looking for a clip of her doing it.

I used to watch Tyrone and Gladys in the cartoon series "Baggy Pants and the Nitwits". But I never knew this original sketch. Really funny.
Tyrone looks like Chespirito's "Doctor Chapatín"... obviously, Chapatín copied the Tyrone's aspect.
