@QRXenomorphs They could be just as good. It's all about weight, race setup and the driver. This thing has 640 hp and manages 0-100 in less than 3 seconds. With the right setups this thing is a killer!
sweet ride, and to think i was one of the fabricators who built the 1st 9 chassis in the uk,then was a mechanic on the car 2001,03,04 &05.awsome race car!
I saw a rolling chassis (everything minus the engine) with alot of spares for $150,000 starting bid on ebay this morning. Can't even imagine having a car that expensive, much less a non-street legal racing car. <-- jealous.
Theirs actualy a place in Cali that makes saleen s7r replicas for around $35-40,000 depending on the engine you want. You choose any engine you want but the more expensive the engine the more the kit costs. If I had a replica built I would use a Acura NSX V6 engine cause it sounds like a ferrari which would make the replica cost about 50,000 total built.
@getdrunk1990 If it were me, I'd get the V8 that's the closest thing to this 7 litre, and keep it all bone american and have it pump out the 640 horses this one does
But for one, no mentioned anything about an R92CP, and end of the day, an R92 is a Group C car, so what do you expect? On top of that it was a prototype car.
that's the team balfe saleen s7r who raced last year in the fia gt championship.
He never got satisfying results because of the tyres (dunlop) and probably the engine (quite reliable but not as powerful as the one in the zakspeed saleen)
What you say is true, but it is also one of the old-spec Saleens which were very badly hurt by aerodynamic rule changes in 2005. The ex-Zakspeed car is one of the newer ORECA-built machines, this example here is one of the original RML-built cars from 2000/2001.
true; now the ex-Zakspeed chassis is in the hands of Belgian PeKa Racing in the FIA GT, but they're running with Pirelli tyres, resulting too slow against the others; same for the oreca chassis run by french team 'Larbre Competition', despite having michelin tyres there. Quite unexpectedly, Saleens in the fia gt are not so competitive as I thought this year.
Why doesn't this car still race on the dos gt1 world championship, the MC12 TO

The C6.R isn't better per se. It depends on the persons setting it up, an S7R can be as competitive as any other GT1 car

This comment has received too many negative votes show

That sounds cool, too bad your not old enough though. The Youngest drivers are usually about 18. And 934935, nice car. How did you get it?
Spyker88 4 years ago
just to clear this up, a 2008 Corvette Z06 is faster than a F430.
carsismeZ06 3 years ago 2
in a straight line, maybe, but around a track the ferrari makes the vette look like a buick.
overdocistri188 3 years ago
trust me, around the track the Z06 could get ahead.

@carsismeZ06 Don't count on it, bro... It's 640 vs Z06 505 hp + the Vettes more wieght... This is a fullblooded racecar, the vette ain't
