  • Anthem!

  • Wonderful! ilove it!

  • wow you sure thrash around .. but great impression

  • BOY! The piano really brings out the beauty of that piece of music. The tremendous skill doesn't hurt either.

  • I wonder how Emerson, Lake, & Palmer would do a version of that song in an "MTV Unplugged" format. When Keith Emerson plays the piano part at the end, it should end with a tape speed.

  • Gotta love the Mona Lisa Zappa poster

  • Holy hell man you ripped this song like no other. Respect.

  • Very impressive! I think Keith would like this. The interpretations of the synth parts are terrific as is the sample and hold sequence at the very end. Great imagination and execution. Have you considered transcribing to sheet music and publishing your arrangement? Of course Keith would get his fair share of the royalties. Advanced piano students would enjoy learning this.

  • You've nailed it! Thanks for a great performance!

  • Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!. Asian dude u tore it down, props to u.

  • very nice

  • Man this is sensational. Well Done

  • A huge and admirable achievement - equally impressive technically - and in terms of translation to the solo piano. Genius level.

  • That was awesome!

I love what you did with the organ solo section and you did some really cool problem solving with the sustained synth sections. Like that part that has the "dizzying" chromatic minor thirds passages. Man, that was cool. Thanks for posting this one.

  • Scratch that last request...found it in another video...wonderful music!

  • Very well done, thank you! I'd love to hear an all piano version of Tarkus. I remember seeing some old footage of Keith Emerson playing Tarkus on a grand piano, but it was a short excerpt.

  • Hello Isao, very very cool.

    Congratulations.

  • Loved the ending. Would like to hear it on a decent piano though - not as a challenge, just to get a better sound. I can lend you a decent mike.

  • You are the greatest.

  • Awesome!

  • Fantastic Isao! I've never seen somebody plays very well Karn Evil 9 Third Impression as you! Congratulation man!

  • Please be in a recording band with vision!

  • 編曲も演奏も素晴らしいです!!

    感動しました!!

  • Excellent

  • You do not exist, Isao. Believe me -- YOU DO NOT EXIST ! ;^)

    Very very good!

    - c.a.t.

  • Gosh, your piano and keyboard skills are top notch, Isao.

I'm gobsmacked. This video left me speechless. =O

  • LOAD YOUR PROGRAM...

    I

    AM

    YOURSELF.

  • You are amazingly talented! Man I love this stuff. Bands just don't write like this anymore, It's a shame. Rated *****!

  • This was beautiful ... I am happy that someone took the time to learn this classic ELP track on piano - I can only hope one day to learn this, or any of Karn Evil 9 myself

  • Can someone recommend an Emerson album that features compositions which sound like this one? Classical/Jazz compositions would be perfect

  • Brain Salad Surgery and Tarkus...for you...

I recommend Triumvirat also...they have almost the same line...try 'mediterranean tales' & 'illusions on a double dimple' from triumvirat...some people call Triumvirat as German ELP...try it!

  • Sure. I will. :)

    Thank you

  • Great Nippon- Big Japan!!

  • Excellent!

    Nice expressions!

  • Excellent rendition on what is considered one of Emerson finest pieces. Bravo Isao!!!! : )

  • It's a brave man who can take on 3rd Impression and live to tell about it! ;)

  • i have never heard any of this stuff before, but my dad likes it and wants a cd called welcome back my friends to the show that never ends, or something like that, i think he used to have a recordind from 1973, maybe, do you know where i can get it? or if it`s on youtube? thanks.

  • The original CD is "Brain Salad Surgery," but the live album is "Welcome Back My Friends." You probably can get it at a lot of record stores. I don't know, I've never taken a look.

  • Totally agree with that statement raydeen2k that was quite a worthy performance, he does Emerson proud. : )

  • Estoy buscando esta partitura¡¡¡

  • Bravo. Excellent - great to hear such a wonderful piano version. Thank you.

  • i wish i was that good

    great job!!!

  • Bravo!

  • Very good.

  • Because Keith never put his works to piano. This is the best we get.

  • (to max60)

Remember Hang Onto A Dream, Getting There?

Also, Blade Of Grass which comes from a CD with toones played entirely on the joanna.

    This is great Isao.

    Thanks.

  • Fantastic! You even did the sample-and-hold bit at the end. Very ambitious arrangement. I'd love to hear you tackle "Pirates".

  • Excellent!!!

  • Very good , i want more!

  • Excellent! Love it!

  • Fantástico¡¡¡ Me encanta cómo tocas. Eres un excelente músico.
