  • Loved seeing the stock car with the giraffe ducking its head at the footbridge!! Haven't seen one of those in ages. A truly great collection there too, some of which I once had.

  • arrrrr! i wanna play!

  • yay a collector who plays with his trains!!! =D

  • I have used modern controllers to get good, consistent control of the locomotives. The automatic exchange system at the back uses magnets and reed switches to stop and start the trains.

  • Awesome. but could I ask about the remote or controller of these engines?

  • Sorry, the layout and associated collection are not for sale.

  • how much do you want for every single bit train, carrages, board, tracks etc. the whole lot how much private message me if you do want to sell it

  • Thanks for the comments. The track plan is my own design but is available on my website. Address is at the end of the video..

  • Great collection! Is the track plan a published one (Triang or Hornby) or own design? Would like to copy.

  • 2:55-3:00... I don't think I've ever heard a little kid fussing in a Brittish accent before. ..All very cool stuff you have here, but it's so clean! Looks almost brandy-new. I always used my own antiqueing techniques for realism. I always wanted my stuff to look slightly rusty, used, broken in, beaten up by regular usage, like real trains do. (Well, here in America they do, anyway.) I had mostly Tyco & Bachman HO guage, with Roco military miniatures, and a few matchbox cars...

  • I spy with my little eye, a cute widdle B12/3! :3

  • I loved the video, it brought back memories of my old Triang Hornby railway I built up in the 1960's and early 1970's.

Most of my locos were secondhand bought from garage sales and were in very good running condition.

I only wished I had kept these and the older wagons etc., they would be worth money now for a collector.

The few locos I bought new I found were not as good as the early gear, maybe the tender drive wasn;t that good, I don't know.

Thank you for putting the video on You Tube.

  • turbo car lol

  • Truely a magical video and system, even though i have modern Hornby now I still miss super4 track and all the lovely locos and roling stock and buildings.

What a dynamic company they were.

    Thanks

  • @electron1100 well it all got too much, and for christmas i left a huge hint about a Traing hornby R644 intercity set i had seen on ebay, well i got it! ;-).........so since then i have sold off all my modern Hornby and have been buying Triang/hornby and am at present assembling a layout, I love it, servicing the locos and rolling stock is a pleasure, the super 4 points are a bit more fiddly but they are totally servicable..............I am very happy and am gaining far more pleasure from this

  • what great memories I had such a lot of Triang Hornby

    Thank you

  • tons of memory triggers - good bit of filming Richard - many thanks
