I have just ordered an Fallkniven "S1".I had a struggle to choose between "S1" or an "A1" but i went for an "S1", even thou the "A1" is appeling, but i think i will have more use of an "S1"... But hey! Maybe both.... hmmm ;)
The thin outer bark from that tree is EXCELLENT for starting fires as its loaded with flamable oils in it :) so if yer ever stuck for tinder then search for that bark.!!!
6th knife from the bottom is a Koster Bushcraft custom, made with natural canvas Micarta scales and CPM 3V steel. It is a fixed blade. 6th knife from the top is a Spyderco Paramilitary Black with G-10 handles and CPM S30V steel. It is a folder.
It really depends on how you put the knife into the tree. Done carefully enough you can safely do it without any damage to the knife. That's a good $1k of knives in the tree, too.
Para-Military is an excellent knife, you won't regret it.

Honestly I would have preferred the F1. But the S1 is a pretty awesome blade and very useful.
