For all the people saying Nexus sux, get a clue. I have like every synth you can find and i love using Nexus. Definitely doesnt sound thin, in fact one of the reasons i started using it was because it had some layered patches that sounded HUGE. I like Zebra and others and they have some better options and synthesis layouts but Nexus has some really nice sounds in it that i havent really seen elsewhere.
@elevatesounds becuase Nexus is a Rompler . Rompler basically is like using a Drum loop . I don't mind nexus but I don't like the sounds . most will use the same sound over and over again and the sounds are to fat . I like a basic sound that I can layer slowly to fit the track . Only thing I use for Nexus for is Piano and strings thats it .
gotta put the test tone file in the rom folder, if u get the demo you'll find the test tone file in the rom folder just take it from there and put it in your rom folder
dude ahaha you must downloaded the free Refx Nexus instead of buy your own. i have the same problem too. i know the problem was. what i got fix the problem was i went to Nexus website and search for the name called "0testtone.nxs". you dont know that is? its the sounds. just download that directly to your profile for Nexus and then you done.
it has to do with the importing it if you don't have enough drive space on the drive your importing the expansion pack onto then it can't do it so try deleting somthing like an old LARGE VST or somthing at least thats what happens to me on my trials when i get the same thing

Hey...my advice! First download Nexus 1.0.1 (without crack or 1.0.9) Then install Emule(P2P) en download Nexus update 1.4.1. It's a big file (8,49 GB) and includes al lot of expasions!! Do what it says in the "read me file" and after 30 minutes you got a working nexus with 17 working expansions! Enjoy!!
i have the same problem like 'oTestTone.nxs'. I know why it cause this. Is b/c you didn't have a Table Content files that has files for music or sounds. I know how to fix it because I done it before. Trust me it will work. It works on my 100% :). Ok go to Nexus home page. Click "product" tab and you'll see "Downloads" tab. Scroll down till you see a "Demo Content (1.4Gb). Click that and download. If you downloaded, then the error of 'oTestTone.nxs' will be gone. That's it :).
how about downloading the expansion packs?? i fixed the 0testtone.nxs error.. but now when i try to download expnasions it says the expansion product is unknow please contact refx support the output has been muted....the only thing i noticed is they are in fxp files.. not .nxs any ideas?

then go back to the un extracted versions of the content folders which contain a folder called samples, then go inside and you will see a folder called rom.
Go inside that folder and extract the top file inside of it to the content files in your nexus et voila
Or locate it manually in fl and double click the 0 testtone in its raw format, eg iso rar etc ( un extracted version) have fun

@cherrypoots sylenth1 is for acid man, i use nexus more for ambient tracks and sylenth for some crazy acid, both have good and bad sides

NEXUS has one of the BEST sounds ever! When u get all the expansions that go to the NEXUS plugin it take the VST to a whole other LEVEL!

About the "not enough space" thing
by the looks of ur desktop icons...it
does look like u got ALLOT of programs
some programs need certain amount
of space(ram) for it to work fine...and FL
is 1 of them...along with VST's n like all other
plug ins too...but yea my point is try erasing
some stuff dude...like programs that u
really dont need...some songs, images etc. etc. =]
