i was a fan but i agree with you! imo tna was good before it went under new management, i agree not the best, but they had their moments, you just had to wait for them, they would put on a good live show, anyway, i stopped watching cause it started to piss me off. i only just watched it again and it was even worse. i liked it because it had potential to be something better and i wanted to watch it progress, but that obv isn't happening now

ROH is a training camp for young talent, nothing more. TNA has been pushing young talent - MCMG, Beer Money, Kaz, Jay Lethal, Morgan, Generation Me,etc.TNA is doing a lot of things right

WCW relied too much on former star names to get themselves over to the point that they nearly crippled their own young stars (Mick Foley, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, etc.).

WCW at the time they took all these WWF stars, WCW had big names like Flair, Sting, the Steiners etc. People forget that WCW was already fairly big. TNA is nowhere near WCW pre-1995, yet. You need brand recognition. Sometimes I agree TNA overuses older talent, but the other TNA talent is getting pushed. Fortune, MCMG, Lethal, Generation Me, Joe, Ink Ink, especially POPE. It really saddens me to say this(cos of the talent and cos i loved TNA when i first started watching it in 2007) but i have given up on TNA i can't even sit through it for more than twenty minutes.
I have stopped watching TNA alltogether, and obviously, I have not missed out on anything.

tbh i am a pretty big TNA fan. but i have to agree. 2010 has been TNA's deathbed. shit story lines, horrible matches and crap feuds. they even made a joke out of the monday night wars and are turning into WCW! Gave tna a chance on thursday ( Flair mark...soo wanted to see his foley match) and again I realized I could careless about most of the roster. They had a LUDACRISS abyss segment , same old shit with sting,nash,jarrett trying to have some sort of fight for control of somewhat power. Mickie James wasnt a OMG moment no...it was obvious. The Shore was a WASTE of time, they shuold have done a promo in the back came out and had a possible match where the guy in the group gets a cheap win.
Tna is a laughing stock in the wrestling business and i feel really sorry for guys like aj, joe. machineguns and mcguiness to have to be associated with this company. Also if tna was to die hopefully the best guys would go to roh or wwe and make those companies much better.
The "shore" gimmick that was on impact thursday night was one of the saddest and most embarrasing things i seen. SMFH.

Typical uneducated wrestling fan, straight to blame Russo. Anything Russo does has to be approved. Bischoff has said this 1000 times. And TNA is only getting bigger. TNA sparks competition. WCW was "stupid" before it got HUGE and look how that pushed the industry forward. TNA's X Division, Tag Teams, and fast paced wrestling is what makes it great. WWE, ROH are so brutally bad that TNA can really do no damage right now. It's a superior product. And has been for a long time. Your rant sucked

@dadirrtywhyteboi TNA doesn't have anywhere near the problems WCW had. WCW had wrestlers with guaranteed contracts, who had control of their characters. WCW also got bought by AOL Time Warner, so instead of WCW's own team running the show a bunch of "non-wrestling fans" were controlling WCW and wanted it dead. ROH is a training camp for young talent, nothing more. TNA has been pushing young talent - MCMG, Beer Money, Kaz, Jay Lethal, Morgan, Generation Me,etc.TNA is doing a lot of things right

@sskats when AOL bought Time Warner that was basically it for WCW as the new managment didn't want wrestling on the air waves so that was it for WCW they have the same problems in terms of booking where characters and guys have no direction at all plus the main guys in the company are guys past their prime who shouldn't be in the ring anymore not a ROH problem

@sskats WCW's problems began with poor management who hadn't the foggiest fucking clue of how a wrestling program worked or should work (Dixie Carter). WCW had egos running about holding back talent to sate their own needs and drive to eat up the spotlight (Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan). WCW relied too much on former star names to get themselves over to the point that they nearly crippled their own young stars (Mick Foley, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, etc.).

@moralvirus Unlike WCW, TNA talent didn't have huge stars. WCW at the time they took all these WWF stars, WCW had big names like Flair, Sting, the Steiners etc. People forget that WCW was already fairly big. TNA is nowhere near WCW pre-1995, yet. You need brand recognition. Sometimes I agree TNA overuses older talent, but the other TNA talent is getting pushed. Fortune, MCMG, Lethal, Generation Me, Joe, Ink Ink, especially POPE. Pope who I think will be the next Rock.

@moralvirus Ring of Honor has good booking sure. My high school play had good actors, but bottom line is that it was high school not fucking hollywood. ROH feels amateur, the talent is inexperienced, I watched the Champ cut a promo a few weeks ago and died of laughter because he looked like he was dying up there. ROH has a lot of good about it, but the talent itself doesn't feel in the same league as TNA or even (god help me) WWE at least as a total package. It takes wrestling+character

Hey, remember when they featured the Guns on the posters for Destination X for (I believe) last year? Remember how they weren't even on that card? Remember when they were X Division champions for like a minute before suddenly losing all air-time for a good 6 month period?

@moralvirus Guns are champs and have been pushed for months. During the 83 weeks WCW smoked WWF, was that a fluke or good booking? Everything hit the fan when Bischoff left, execs rolled in, talent got in the way and poor booking. Combine that with WCW having big egos across the board and they shot themselves in the foot. They thought McMahon was going to fold. TNA does not have any of those problems. Booking has been questionable at times, but what, should TNA copy WWE? Give me a break

@sskats By "pushing" Kaz do you mean halting his progress as he grew into a possible main event threat to rip him off of television, slap him in a ridiculous get-up to recreate him as a masked wrestler from a failed video game for several months, only to kill that idea and bring him back as a member of a group that's supposed to resemble that of the Four Horsemen - a group he would never have fit in even if this were 1992?
Christ, the only name you listed I can agree was being pushed was BM.

@moralvirus Kaz was misused, and some fans thought he could've gone main event someday, not at that time. The Suicide thing was mediocre at best, but Kaz I think fits in really well with Fortune. And Evolution, nWo, and to an extent DX are all ripoffs in someway of the horsemen. Bad boys, who run the show, with big egos. I think Fortune will carry TNA for awhile like nWo did WCW

I have stopped watching TNA alltogether, and obviously, I have not missed out on anything.
I do not, however, want TNA to die. I think it's great that wrestlers can work there, even if it's the equivalent of cleaning toilets in a clown costume.
And seeing the last Impact pulled a 1.33 rating...they'll probably be around a little longer

tbh i am a pretty big TNA fan. but i have to agree. 2010 has been TNA's deathbed. shit story lines, horrible matches and crap feuds. they even made a joke out of the monday night wars and are turning into WCW! I loved WCW but it just dosnt seem right on TNA! the only good thing i can think of is abyss turing heel, so we can finally see the awsomeness he truly is, instead of being hogan's bitch! 4 and a half stars. hopefully they can pick themselves up and start being good again!

Gave tna a chance on thursday ( Flair mark...soo wanted to see his foley match) and again I realized I could careless about most of the roster. They had a LUDACRISS abyss segment , same old shit with sting,nash,jarrett trying to have some sort of fight for control of somewhat power. Mickie James wasnt a OMG moment no...it was obvious. The Shore was a WASTE of time, they shuold have done a promo in the back came out and had a possible match where the guy in the group gets a cheap win.

I completely agree.
Tna is a laughing stock in the wrestling business and i feel really sorry for guys like aj, joe. machineguns and mcguiness to have to be associated with this company. Also if tna was to die hopefully the best guys would go to roh or wwe and make those companies much better.
The "shore" gimmick that was on impact thursday night was one of the saddest and most embarrasing things i seen. SMFH.

I usually watch Family Guy, American Dad, the Simpsons, and the Cleveland Show on Sunday nights anyways, so I could care less about TNA PPVs at this point because it is obvious the company does not since they never build them up (in fact I agree with Lance Storm's article on his site on why wrestling ppvs are down in general because neither WWE nor TNA care about them just TV).
