I dont see how you can compare them they have 2 totally different run styles dickerson was a powerful strong runner and faulk was an elussive agile runner
2 all time greats 2 Hall of Famers played for both Rams and Colts. Both numbers including Faulk's # 28 either already are or should be retired with the rams.
Ram fan 4ever baby! Full of Blue blood. Eric Dickerson was a site to behold. Got to give the edge to him. That straight up running style has never been matched.

I been a Rams fan since 1979 - two different types of runners.... Faulk & E.D. both awesome runners in their day.. but I'd give ED a slight edge if your talking true runner. ED was a north south speed runner. faulk had those crazy legs that made him hard to catch.BUT would love to have them both in the backfield at the same time lol
Definately Faulk. He ran for more yards that dickerson, Jerome Bettis wasn't even famous til he went to the steelers cuz he started running like a full back instead of dancing, and Jackson is a fast, strong guy, but he can't run to his left AT ALL, and he's afraid to get hit. Marshall wins!
dickerson fue el mejor corredor de los 80,s yo lo seguia domingo a domingo y en cada partido les metia mas de 100 yardas a quien fuera lo mejor que a tenido LA RAMS.
Those two Jets db's hopelessly grabbing at fresh air as they desperately chase the speeding Dickerson! Hilarious! Always has me in stitches that clip.
i honestly believe that e.d. was the best running back of all time,2108 yds in one yr.every yr over the 1200 yard mark big enough to run you over and fast enough to pull away from ya.
what amazed me about Dickerson and the Rams was that they had no passing attack during the Dickerson era, yet they still managed to run it down your throat... defenses would stack the box but the Rams offensive line led by the likes of Jackie Slater, Erv Pankey, Tom Newberry and Duval Love would still blast open holes for Dickerson to run through... once Dickerson made it to the secondary it was all over...
Strange how shit work out, Dickerson went to Indy. Marshall came to the Rams from Indy. I remember being at the game where Dickerson broke OJ's rushing title. Damn, strange again, it was against the Houston oilers now Tennessee Titans who lost to the Rams in the Superbowl with Marshal Faulk...WTF...hahahahaha...I just realized that.....
I love to watch Dickerson run with the ball!! He is awesome to watch. Not to mention those goggles he wore gave him somewhat of a "Darth Vader" appearance, AWESOME stuff!

Marshall Faulk was a pretty good running back... Eric Dickerson was a GREAT running back. And also the most underrated.

Isn't it funny how each generation has a player than compares to last (probably not as good but comparable).
Tomlinson plays like Walter Payton
Adrian Peterson plays like Eric Dickerson
Brian Westbrook plays like Marshall Faulk
Bossrah 2 years ago
The only comparison I agree with is Westbrook and Faulk.

Adrian Peterson is like a carbon copy of Eric dickerson.

E.D. was awesome back in the day, but nobody is going to top Jim Brown on that list. Even Barry Sanders' dad said so.

Dickerson only spent 10 yrs in the nfl but had over 13,000 yards. That man was big i would be scared to tackle him 6'3

Please Move the Rams back to Los Angeles where they belong, they never should have left in the first place!!!
