Now that I've listened to this song at least 500 times, I've noticed he plays the guitar faster while singing live, pretty understandable though because it's still pretty hard to sing with that passion and play that particular guitar pattern flawlessly, even if you've played a guitar for fuck knows how long. this doesn't happen in the album version though, so I recommend people buying the album :).

@windtested Surely you people are being sarcastic??? This is such fake sounding bullshit! This is like something I would have composed as a novice, except I was more ambitious by the time I made my first recordings. I would like to think that Jeff Bridges could come up with something more original and meaningful than this, given an hour or two.

I first saw him on Austin City Limits with the Drive-By Truckers and thought he was great. I just found out he was on the soundtrack to Crazy Heart. Awesome that he is getting recognition for his talents.
