putting the blue tarp over the front of your 4x4 like that , is really really dumb ...... no air can get in to cool off the motor .... you don't want to over heat ,and blow a hose out there on the trails .... when your on the trails , you drive slower then on the road ... so there is already less air flowing in , and the water still gets up in where you was trying to stop it from going .... that tarp did nothing for you truck ,other then make it run hot !!!!

@TattooBull The tarp was only used when doing water crossings then removed. At the time of making the trip there was no snorkel available for my vehicle. Thanks for the tips though.

@TattooBull You obviously have never done any four wheel driving. Without the blue tarp, when doing water crossings, the force of the water going through the front grill can break the fins off the fans, it has nothing to do with keeping the engine dry.

I have done way more off-roading then this guy).. and yes the force of the water will break the fan blades ( IF YOU DRIVE FAST LIKE THEY DID).. BUT A REAL OFF-ROAD DRIVER KNOWS YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO FAST.. just crawl through ,and if your 4x4 is tough enough it will WALK right out . I never went fast through deep water , and I put my Jeep in way deeper then he did !!!!!! SO DON'T TRY TO TELL ME !!!!

Looks like the Pajero needs a bit of lift, would make it much easier getting up those steep banks. Did u also air down? Just it doesn't look like it from my armchair.

@austcro75 the pajero was fine and did everything easy without the trailer. It was just the length of the trailer and the clearance at the ball that made it difficult at times. But that is what made it fun.

@mk1oz Tried everything to get a snorkel prior to the trip. At that time there was not a snorkel made for that model Pajero. Had a great time anyway. Cheers
