and yes 635nm is much brighter because the red photoreceptors

in the eye are stronger stimulated at that wavelengt comparing to 650nm.

and 635nm stimulates the green receptors also a bit thats the reason

that 635nm looks orangered and 650nm deep red with almost no orange.

to me 660nm is the most pure red ,wavelengts bigger then 650nm appear

faint because the human eye is not sensitive under the 400nm and above 700nm.

for most people the bandwide is smaller.

I really like your videos! I made a laser myself and I tried it with lots of other diodes but I can't really compare them with the lasers you have because you film them in your bathroom

so, do you create fog in your bathroom to create the beam more visible or not?

Holy crap... my most recent build was a 300mW red, and I've always wondered why it would never write on GITD materials... I still don't understand why red erases it though, but now with my 200mW Blu-Ray and my 300mW red, i can draw AND erase!
