I really loved the Silent Realms. The first was a test of Courage to see if you had enough to tackle such a daunting challenge. The second was Wisdom because along with your courage you would have to be smart about how you collect them otherwise you'll get caught in the massive area. The third being Power because you have to have all of the skills you learned and learn how to just be brave enough to do it. The fourth being a test to see if you've mastered all. At least that's how I look at it.
I don't get why so many people had a hard time with the silent realm. were you people not picking up those little glowy plant things that make beacons appear above the tears?
Am I the only one who beat all of them like a scaredy cat and beat it on the first try for fear of never being able to progress in the game ever again?

@FinalFinale789 Can't tell you how many times I rage quit on multiple wii games because of that. One game that I own that does that to me big time was was Sonic and the Secret Rings.

I was literally shaking thru-out the Silent Realms. On the Lanaryu one it got so bad the next day I was so stressed I couldn't do any work in class and I was snapping at everyone.

I am undecided towards the trials. On one hand, they provided a real challenge and were enjoyable for the most part. On the other hand, they scared me so much and I dreaded them; that atmosphere >.>

@mzdarkstar lol, I can see what you mean by eerie. I personally find this tune quite relaxing, maybe sounding somewhat isolated like what you are in the game, all alone, with (what we all wish for) dead armour things. Then they wake up and the terror begins.
On all of the Silent Realms I died at least once, they had their hard parts. I mean, duh they're not gunna be easy the first time, because you don't know where all the tears are, but after the first time it shows you where they are on the map. One more thing....who wouldn't be afraid of the guardians!?!? Especially the guy with the big mallet, sword thing...
okay, I dont give a shit what you think. This game was friggin HARD. Puzzles and fighting! I swear I spent an hour figuring out the first room in the first temple and i've been playing zelda for years and had never encountered that! This was a great, challenging game, screw you guys. I hate it when people say "Oh that was soo easy derpp" when they KNOW its hard they just want to look like a badass. Get over yourself and give the game credit.
@MatinFan101 I must disagree a little with u. It's true, the game is great, and I loved it. But seriously, I found the dungeons really easy. no lies. However the boss battles, and also some regular enemies were often hard to beat. Have to give credits for that. And of course... The trials. That was scary, and hard, as hell.
@MatinFan101 If it's any consolation, the first room of Skyview (I'm assuming you meant the room with the water right?) DID take me quite some time to find the second switch (and don't get me started on filling the right chamber...). this room made me realize I had to ignore my basic symmetrical thinking and be more...creative. And I loved it :)

It was a great game, and I love it, I just didn't find it extremelychallenging. I only got stuck on a couple puzzles but that was because I was being a derp. I was able to do the boss run and end it with only like four hearts of damage, on my first try. Plus I only failed twice at the Silence Realms.
@MatinFan101 All the temples had X's marked right on the map so you'd know right where to go. You were able to put up to five beacons in one area. You were able to ask Fi and those silly Sheikah stones at any time where to go, what to do, hints and tips, and even how to use the Wii controls. I feel like this game was VERY easy in terms of knowing just what to do, and this is coming from someone who gets lost in a tiny square building.

@MatinFan101 SS was easy, but that doesn't mean it's not an awesome game. It was one of the best Zeldas. You must suck at video games if you could hardly get past the first room.
OOOK I've been waiting to get to this song in the playlist to comment. Never before have I ordered a few replacement pairs of underwear for a game. Absolutely FU** those massive guard things that run after you. And the screen turning red. I remember on this first trial when I was looking for the last tear and they were all after me, I managed to escape up some vines so the guards couldn't get me. THEN "wtf is that coming through the trees?!?!? THERE ARE FLYING ONES?!?!?!" Replacement underwear.
i LOVED the silent realms. Nintendo did a great job with this one. It was a great way for hardcore gamers to get a good challenge in Skyward Sword. This place also scared the crap out of me the first time that i played it. The silent realms was one of my favorite aspects of skyward sword

I hated these things with a passion. Words cannot describe how much hate I had for these. I managed to do all of them but the first one on my first try, but I still HATED them. Oddly enough, I didn't find the one in the sky that annoying... I guess it's because I was familiar with the area, even though it was by far the hardest.

To be honest, I never found the Silent Realms hard really. The first realm was easy but the last one was a bit more brutal. Not once I ever got caught. I alerted the hell out of the Guardians on the last realm. But difficult? Not even close. I guess with all the experience with Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid series had a major impact for me. Never once killed in the Silent Realm. Close a few times inches away from the damn flying Guardians but either way. Not really hard.
The Silent Realms scared me too. The second you stepped out of that protective circle was terrifying. If you didn't know where to look for the tears...you'd probably fail the mission. I think it was a creative addition to this game. I admit, I panicked a lot on the first realm. But got used to it. Aside from Majora's Mask, how often do we get something so thrilling in a game like this?
I kept on dying in the silent realms. SO THRILLING THOUGH. I could seriously feel the rush when the guardians chased me. I was scared, but it only was for a few seconds because THANK GOD the teardrops were always right by me. I hate the guardians that fly. They always scare the hell out of me whenever i see them because they are always slicing their swords and stuff. Hahah
I absolutly LOVE the Silent Realm. I don't care how creepy it was, it was just so beautiful and unique. Instead of haveing to find some Lights Spritis tears or whatnot, you had to strenghthen your own soul. So much better, and the place was so beautiful, aside from the Gardians. XD they looked cool though. WHEEEE COME CHASE ME MOFOs XD

I did very well on my first run. I collected them all except one... I must have missed it. Anyhow, I was in the checkpoint at the start and I had to collect the one you have to climb the vines, when you face the temple you go left and then just near that guardian. I made it past the guardian... Climbed and got the tear. Then I had to head back to the checkpoint and got caught by the guard on my way back! DAMNIT!
I first thought the thunder dragon would give me the hylian shield after I did the forest one within 3 minutes. I was so proud. he was like "oh that's good, take this blue feather!"

@MatinFan101 Really? I honestly didn't find this game that hard, and I haven't played many Zelda games.
It was a great game, and I love it, I just didn't find it extremelychallenging. I only got stuck on a couple puzzles but that was because I was being a derp. I was able to do the boss run and end it with only like four hearts of damage, on my first try. Plus I only failed twice at the Silence Realms.

@MatinFan101 All the temples had X's marked right on the map so you'd know right where to go. You were able to put up to five beacons in one area. You were able to ask Fi and those silly Sheikah stones at any time where to go, what to do, hints and tips, and even how to use the Wii controls. I feel like this game was VERY easy in terms of knowing just what to do, and this is coming from someone who gets lost in a tiny square building.

OOOK I've been waiting to get to this song in the playlist to comment. Never before have I ordered a few replacement pairs of underwear for a game. Absolutely FU** those massive guard things that run after you. And the screen turning red. I remember on this first trial when I was looking for the last tear and they were all after me, I managed to escape up some vines so the guards couldn't get me. THEN "wtf is that coming through the trees?!?!? THERE ARE FLYING ONES?!?!?!" Replacement underwear.

i LOVED the silent realms. Nintendo did a great job with this one. It was a great way for hardcore gamers to get a good challenge in Skyward Sword. This place also scared the crap out of me the first time that i played it. The silent realms was one of my favorite aspects of skyward sword

As for the real, I bought the game last saturday and didn't have THAT much time to play it, so I am now on to Eldin's silent realm. I heard it is a bitch... But hey, my favourite part of the game, so ;)

@WilliamLandonCarter I too did not know why they were there at first, then I accidentely walked in a spirit's light and saw the guardians come after me. Luckily, I found another tear. I now have done Nayru's and Faron's trial. I finished both at my first try.

I hated these things with a passion. Words cannot describe how much hate I had for these. I managed to do all of them but the first one on my first try, but I still HATED them. Oddly enough, I didn't find the one in the sky that annoying... I guess it's because I was familiar with the area, even though it was by far the hardest.

If this is to test my courage and it's a reference maybe the wisdom one is trying to solve puzzels in a time limit, maybe a reference to the kafe quest from majora? Power...beat a crap load of enemies with limited time/heath or some other reference.

To be honest, I never found the Silent Realms hard really. The first realm was easy but the last one was a bit more brutal. Not once I ever got caught. I alerted the hell out of the Guardians on the last realm. But difficult? Not even close. I guess with all the experience with Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid series had a major impact for me. Never once killed in the Silent Realm. Close a few times inches away from the damn flying Guardians but either way. Not really hard.

The Silent Realms scared me too. The second you stepped out of that protective circle was terrifying. If you didn't know where to look for the tears...you'd probably fail the mission. I think it was a creative addition to this game. I admit, I panicked a lot on the first realm. But got used to it. Aside from Majora's Mask, how often do we get something so thrilling in a game like this?

I kept on dying in the silent realms. SO THRILLING THOUGH. I could seriously feel the rush when the guardians chased me. I was scared, but it only was for a few seconds because THANK GOD the teardrops were always right by me. I hate the guardians that fly. They always scare the hell out of me whenever i see them because they are always slicing their swords and stuff. Hahah

I absolutly LOVE the Silent Realm. I don't care how creepy it was, it was just so beautiful and unique. Instead of haveing to find some Lights Spritis tears or whatnot, you had to strenghthen your own soul. So much better, and the place was so beautiful, aside from the Gardians. XD they looked cool though. WHEEEE COME CHASE ME MOFOs XD

I did very well on my first run. I collected them all except one... I must have missed it. Anyhow, I was in the checkpoint at the start and I had to collect the one you have to climb the vines, when you face the temple you go left and then just near that guardian. I made it past the guardian... Climbed and got the tear. Then I had to head back to the checkpoint and got caught by the guard on my way back! DAMNIT!
