man this game, knew for sure it was the one i was thinking of when the crab people turned up. spent hours playing this co-op on my mates DC but never got it when i had my own.
the hell is the presidents daughter up to in the ending cutscene?
"Yeah sure some of these weapons are the same but they're still pretty cool. I mean how often do you get to fight..*in epic voice mode" WITH AN ARCADE CABINET!"
short but sweet game, wouldve had more fun with it but i was married at the time plus i just moved to a new city so not many friends yet so i didnt have anyone to play it with at the time. the game wouldve benefited from online support but i think this game came out before sega truly started supporting online gaming for dc. i think i only rented it but it was worth the rent.
Dynamite Dekka!!!! Pirate terrorists and the er.. *unique* looking, Presidents daughter.. Love this game - so cool, such mindless fun (pure late SEGA arcade goodness). The first game is no slouch either and has some great fun, but this one pips it to the post for its improved sexy graphics and better controls and the Presidents daughter with her "lovely personality"..
If I was Bruno or Eddie, I would dry hump all the cute 'n sexy female (ALL of them) enemies into submission / death. If I was Ivy I would as well as they'd drive me to Lesbianism.
Remember, as the girls say ... "Not evennnnn.!" "damn it!!!!" "you sissy!" *giggles, damn* *gasp! ahahah!* Damn, I told you all those heavy weapons and those handcuffs would come in handy. ;]
this game is dope but i wonder what kind of work around there is t get the downloadable content. does it save to the vmu? could one just opy the info from vmu to vmu?
at 3:23 is that if u dont kick the shark man in the face, i never played there, probly cuz its so easy to get passed him when you gotta click witch ever button to get passed the scene
Random fact: If you're lucky (or unlucky, really) she pops up briefly in the last level of House of the Dead 2. You can also unlock Bruno Delinger as a playable character in it.
Honestly, I don't see why people hate this game so much. Sure, it's really short, but it's really fun to play through again and again. Plus, Jean's various limb breaks are awesome. :)
Good video. I remember playing this in arcade, and even though I'm a huge dreamcast fan, I somehow never got Dynamite Cop, assuming it sucked. Never knew it'd turn out to be my revered arcade favorite from the past lmao.
no I liked dynamite cop. except for in co-op mode where at the very end it makes you fight the other player! And it can go on forever if you keep putting in credits.
Yeah, I almost mentioned this in the video until I realized I had no footage of it happening. Played it two player once and we just kept beating the snot out of each other for about an hour, great fun XD
Sega actually sneaked out a new installment in arcades last year, although it was pretty much ignored. I think it was called Dynamite Deka EX, and appeared to be very similar to this one only in a different location and with a new element where you could take the abilities (and costumes) of the enemies.
Reminds me of the time Sega made the unnoticed sequel to Space Harrier, Planet Harriers. Shame it didn't get released for Dreamcast, especially since it could've been ported to it fairly easily.
Actually, not really. That game ran on the Hikaru board, which was very powerful hardware that would be almost impossible to port to just about any system at that time.
Hey, Sega was planning to port Virtua Fighter 4 on the Dreamcast from the Naomi 2. Not to mention, games such as Fighting Vipers, Sega Rally and Last Bronx were ported to the Saturn (a very difficult system to program for) from the much superior Model 2 hardware at the time. It could've been done.
Well yeah, that's true, but again it would've been watered down. I think Hikaru was actually more powerful than Naomi 2. The Hikaru was more expensive to work for and used very complex graphics, according to System 16.

I plan to work on Rummage videos for these in the near future:
Rez
Sega Marine Fishing
Rainbow Cotton
Sengoku Turb (although this one won't be so much a review as a very short playthrough)
I've already ripped footage for three of these, so hopefully I'll get time soon.

There were rumors of a Gamecube port for a while, but sadly it never came to be. Shame, I love me some Space harrier.

I don't care what everybody says; I love this game.

From what I've seen a lot of people like it, it was mainly the critics that panned it so much with their fours and fives out of ten.

Actually, the Japanese original was called Dynamite Deka, and Die Hard Arcade. Then Japan got Dynamite Deka 2, called Dynamite Cop here. :)
miiwii93 3 years ago
Yeah, but translating it to Cop makes it more fun for a gag. =P
