you are so full of shit every bad point about this netbook (and their are lots of them ) u just say oh its better than other net books when its just not i have a dell mini 10 v witch i picked up second hand for £120 bought it just to take round friends houses as i cant take my pc -_-. any ways back to the dell it has none of the problems that has and cam with windows 7 on it now running linux tho. you are full of shit ......................
When I first turned this thing on... the microphone and the webcam was ON by default, I suggest turning it off in ur device manager.
I uninstalled most of the crapware that came with this thing. And I shut off the automatic update for my anti-virus. To at least speed up during my google searches.
Don`t take my word for it. It`s still SLOW. Look it up, if you don`t believe me.
Oh, yeah. I got a Windows starter which WON`T ALLOW ME to change the desktop wallpaper.
If you have the extra cash buy a laptop. Avoid a netbook, because this model and ALL the Aspire One model are SLOW...
I bought mine because it's cheap. All I plan to use it for is check my email. Youtube is really SLOW. This is NOT for gaming or streaming movies, so if you have a little more cash, buy a laptop.
Oh, I had a working Acer 5532 which died a week ago. Be warned, Acer is a horrible brand. My HDD crashed. nothing backed-up, and I'm forced to start over. It only lasted me 15 months.
I bought Acer Aspire One D257-N57DQkk a few days ago and the sound is crackling when I listen to an online radio or a youtube video or when I watch a movie .. one of my friends also has acer and has the same problem with the crackling.. I guess I should have bought asus instead of acer.. the crackling is very annoying
Eh, Asus Eee Seashell 1215x is the best on netbooks, no noise, 1gb video 4gb ram, ADM Vision 1.0, Some others whit Fusion 1.6, 500 Hd drive Windows 7 Ultimate 64 and many badass things, this Acer meh, is a normal netbook.
