  • visited jane austens grave in winchester yesterday , beautiful place

  • Anna Chancellor is related to Lord Byron too, she has his chin! ;)

  • This is a wonderful documentary. My heart is in England and these videos/comments help me to see my beautiful England and Jane Austen's magnificent characters come to life. Anne Chancellor does a terrific job. Thank you, thank you!

  • WOW!! Separate bedrooms as birth control! Haha! Don't know if that would have stopped me.

  • "Nothing but death" - the response of Jane Austen when asked "is there anything you require?"

  • where can i find english subtitles for this movie ??

  • @TasteMyCombo It already is in English.

  • WHOA! The morphing of the faces in the beginning was freaky, especially if you were watching without headphones in...

  • Interesting characters of Jane Austen. I tend to think she was very pretty. Her characters are sure pretty.

  • Ayn Rand. Atlas Shrugged movie trailer on youtube.

  • Why has this never been released in DVD form? It's so good.

  • Charlotte Bronte did not like Jane Austen very much, she says "Why do you like Miss Austen so very much? I am puzzled on that point....no glance of a bright, vivid physiognomy, no open country, no fresh air, no blue hill, no bonny beck. I should hardly like to live with her ladies and gentlemen, in their elegant but confined houses.... she cannot be great. "

  • Her novels might easily be the most adapted!

  • @RushTheSilver the most adapted novels or stories are conan doyle's sherlock holmes. but i think jane is a close second ;)

  • @twonk12 I was not being literal in my remark - I just meant that she's arguably the most famous of English authors, and not just among men.

  • I can't help but wonder the amount of money that Jane Austen could have made had she still been alive today. She apparently sold her novels for only 10 pounds.

  • @griffinhearts i'd love to be able to find a novel like hers for $10 a piece in the U.S..... so hard to find good novels for little money nowadays... :)

  • @jepenner Yeah I would love to have a good book these days that cheap. :)

  • OMGGGGGG.... imagine being RELATED to Jane Austen... holy f*ck...

  • i love it that she is related to her :D

  • SO LUCKY!

  • more practical than romantic n more sensible than sentimental...i like it!

  • Indeed. Nowadays too many people doesn't sees longer than where their nosetip stops. Many says that one can't be reasonable whilst being in love. I say that is very possible, as long as you stop yourself, get a bit away from those wonderful feeling, get through a deep analyzis over the situation and in your own senses. It is all very possible, and maybe a reason for why there are so many disapointments in relationships that are started with just a little "giggly" kind of love.

  • @magaghafoor007

In short, she was a he. ;-)

  • Jane is the best.

  • Wow, I didn't know she was related. Thank you so much for this. I am a big fan of Austen!!!

  • Must be a very special feeling being related to her. :-)
