im sure it pisses mark off that he hasnt even won a race in 7 years and Hamilton steps straight into the best car and has already won nearly 10 races and maybe soon a championship.
But thats F1 -a bullshit sport - the most unlevel playing field of any sport ever, its shit. In fact i wont even watch the final race because who gives a shit? I already know that Kubica was the best driver this year - who gives a shit about the actual points - they are as meaningless as Schui's 7 hollow titles.
anytime it gets close the fia changes the rule so the big teams stay at the top i would love to c redbull bmw toro roso and renault at the top ferrari and mclaren at the bottom now that would be good
why would they do that when Red Bull is going to be the Best team in the pit lane in the nexted couple of years and with that said means he will hopefully be World champion in that time fingers crossed
All it proves is that you're blind. It's clear to see that the overwhelming majority of his retirements are outside of his control. When he doesn't retire, he almost always beats his teammate, one of the best records on the grid at doing that.
totaly agree, and if youve done ur research, mark has beaten his teammate in every race in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006 providing he and his teammate finished the race
Mark is really underrated driver. He deserves a chance to drive in a better team than Red bull because i suspect that RB is't able to make so big step forward to win a race. C'mon u Mark! You're great. Greetings from Poland
Agreed. Definitely one of the top 10 drivers on the grid, and probably the best never to have won a race. I wonder how close he would have run against Alonso if he had've moved to Renault in 2005, rather than Fisichella.
Without a doubt the best driver in F1. He's not in a McLaren, nor a Ferrari or a BMW. He's only in a Red Bull but he still qualifies 2nd. Amazing....even Coultard could only manage 11th in the exact same car.
Compare 2 Hamilton that gets a ride straight into Mcclaran (what is with dat, Money under the table from the father). Wake up to yourself and smell the petrol fumes you tools. It looks like Webber is to race alongside hamilton next year anyways so goodluck to hamilton next year cause he will not have a chance at this championship.
Lets put hamilton in a Red Bull and Mark in the Mcclarne. He could say hello 2 his national mates Coulthard and Davidson.
2002 would be a up then down, 2003 would be all up, 2004 would be down like crazy. 2005 would be zig zag 2006 would be down o the ground 07 would be up and down and 08 would be a steap uphill(so far).
So far in 2008 Webber is the best of the rest. There is little doubt Ferrari,McLaren and BMW Sauber are the best cars. What car is the 4'th best? The Toyota? The Renault? The Williams? Red Bull?
Mark Webber still does a great job with the car he has. A couple of podiums would be nice.
And Mark has always qualified really well in Monaco no matter what car he was in.
absolutely; from where Mark is, the top 6 spots are theoretically pretty much taken, and that doesnt leave much in the points department. Given the reliable car this year, hes shown (as we always knew) hes an excellent qualifier and a solid driver. Should be an interesting hustle for the end of the season given toyota & renaults boost in form.
Webber is such a champion. The Aussie battler. I still honestly believe he is one of the quickest drivers in F1. Has outpaced all of his team-mates, from Minardi, Jaguar, WIlliams and now Red Bull. All the best Mark!
Is that why Webber got 3 more points than Rosberg despite finishing less races? And Webber was hardly dominated by Heidfeld, they were both competitive and if the team didn't decide to pit Heidfeld first in Monaco he would've been equal on points.
Lets see then, in malaysia heidfeld got 3rd when Webber was 3rd(heidfeld was 5th at the time) but got hit by fisi who tried a stupid move on the inside and took him out, then in monacco the team made webber stay out longer behind the slow alonso whioch cost him 2nd ahead of heidfeld, then when Heidfeld got 2and in Europe, Webber was taken out by Montoya whilst in 4th, webber didn't get dominated its more like webber dominated hiedfeld but when ever he did someone would hit him.
Webber got second on the grid in a jaguar. Heidfelds doing rubbish now anyway, Kubica is loads faster, Webbers almost got as many points as Heidfeld in a Red Bull.
Imo, it seems Webber can no longer pull out the qualifying miracles he once could. He hasn't been in the top 4 for ages and he's in an arguably better car now.
i see your point but ferrari, mclaren and bmw are alot faster so its very difficult to break into the top 4. The best he can realisticly achieve is seventh, but Red Bull fill his car up for long stints so its difficult to qualify well now.
I don't think so, teams such as bmw and mclaren beg for an expereinced driver to even out there team, mark webber has just put his had up really high with his drives this year and i would expet him to be in a competitive car next year regardless if he stays.
I remeember awhile back fisichella was given a chance at Renault after a ripper season in the suaber he was 34 at that time, Webber is 31 not to mention bmw offered him a contract in 2006.
I'd say if Heidfeld drive poorly for a few more races, BMW will go for a combo with youth (Kubica) and experience (Webber) for 2 years until Webber retires/moves and Kubica goes to Ferrari or McLaren
Would be great if he could go to Ferrari if Kimi leaves at the end of '09. Webber would be about 33-34. Schumacher was about 36-37 when he retired, maybe a bit older.
Love to see Webber win at least one race on his own merit.
Well he's in a better race car - but not a better car for qualifying. The thing about the jag and the williams was they chewed through their rear tyres. This helped in quali but come lap 5 in the race, he would go backwards, and developed a reputation as a 'great qualifier but poor racer." He's still got it, he's in the form of his life :p
OH MY GOD!!!! i remember that sunday night after melbourne 2002 - i and 21 million aussies were like...holy fuck hes gonna win 8 championships in 2 years hahah, then he joined williams.....goodbye promising career. - anyway aslong as he keeps qualifying 5th and fnishing 6th in a red bull everyrace, while coulthard crashes and swears, he'll be on the grid for a lot longer. WEBBER FOR 2009 CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!
Although i have been a fan of his since he started, i've got to point out that the first crash as soon as the video starts out was his fault. I was reading about it a few weeks back, with 2 laps to go, he decided to try and cool down his overheating tyres in a puddle of water. Rather comical if you ask me ;)
True that one was his fault but you can't blame him on a day when half the field went out, he actually span earlier at turn 3 and recovered unlike Schumi, Button, Montoya, Pizzonia, Wilson and Verstappen. Your reasoning doesn't fit though, he crashed with 18 laps to go.
The verses refer to the fact that he is always so unlucky and everything seems to go wrong in his career, the chorus is saying that despite his hardships we will still support him.
its all about the cars in f1, any of the drivers if you put them in a mclaren ferrari or renult would win races, the rest of the teams are making up numbers
Alot of it is his fault, he can make some very arrogant mistakes which you have managed to avoid putting in this package. And at best he could possibly be a consistent top 12 finish, but nothing more.
Well look at his stats; He's averaged 12th in the championship in the last 5 years even with all the retirements, he could do more. I made a list of his retirements since 2005, he's caused 4 out of 22 by my count.
Swert - gr8 vid of Webber, pretty much sums up his career, every step forward he makes, someone crashes in2 him and its 2 steps back...that being said when he does finish a race it normally means points. He'll defiently get 1/2 podiums this year.
Good choice of song as well, not that i dont like the song but at least the song was relevant to the action...
I've just realised that the clip at 2:02 is focussing on Pizzonia not Webber. Nonetheless, Webber has DNFed the last 5 Brazilian GPs. Not quite matching Barrichello's streak of 9 DNFs though.
Mark Webber's the modern day Chris Amon - the most unlucky driver in Formula 1. He'd be world championship material in a McLaren or Ferrari without a shadow of a doubt.
A new song has now been picked but it is still inferior and the final slide is now redundant.
