That wasn't the first gate you retard. We were out there last night, that gate leads to a driveway. The actual gate is about 30 feet into the woods. As for all the stories, they are true. We took about 20 pictures and most of them had unexplained figures in them. Also, cops don't patrol the place at all.
If you look at the area on Google Earth, it's nothing but a path that leads to a creek. If you're stupid enough to swim/walk across the creek and continue down the path a little, you'll end up in a housing development. Nothing about the place is true.

I've been down to this area at night a few years ago with a friend from the FD. Supposedly it is haunted from the years of the asylum. I have never heard what the real story is behind it. I would love to get permission to go back and check things out since I don't believe in ghosts. If you want real chills, spend a night at the Lewisberry Fire house. That is actually haunted. Toilets flush, air brakes release, doors slam. All happen mainly at night. Pretty cool.

dude!!! I miss york! I use to tear around that corner on trout run rd. all the time. Tried to do the gates a few times. First time I walked out there and literally almost bumped into a deer scared the crap out of me. The second got baked and gave up and the third time I walked into the creek and got wet. If the devil is there he sure does like teenagers to get there jollies.

That wasn't the first gate you retard. We were out there last night, that gate leads to a driveway. The actual gate is about 30 feet into the woods. We went in about a quarter mile but it was muddy as hell and overgrown with weeds and thorns. We're going through it again when we get hiking boots and some heavier pants, because it's a bitch. As for all the stories, they are true. We took about 20 pictures and most of them had unexplained figures in them. Also, cops don't patrol the place at all.

If you look at the area on Google Earth, it's nothing but a path that leads to a creek. If you're stupid enough to swim/walk across the creek and continue down the path a little, you'll end up in a housing development. Nothing about the place is true.

I live in West York PA. and honestly I was at the 10th gate and got out of the car lastnight, it was pretty humid out, but I felt really cold air around me, it looked really creepy. I want to go in it sometime.

I've been down to this area at night a few years ago with a friend from the FD. Supposedly it is haunted from the years of the asylum. I have never heard what the real story is behind it. I would love to get permission to go back and check things out since I don't believe in ghosts. If you want real chills, spend a night at the Lewisberry Fire house. That is actually haunted. Toilets flush, air brakes release, doors slam. All happen mainly at night. Pretty cool.

the first gate is actually to the left of where you are filming. its red and hidden in the brush. the gate you are looking at is silver and thats the one that leads to the private property
