I'm a programmer as well, so I wrote my own application to generate the letter graphics. ;)

The font is 20th Century Extra Bold Condensed, IIRC.

Yes, but I needed the words as bitmaps, not titles. That's where the proggy came in. ;)

So far I saw in my fontbook, and according to What the Font also, it could be also Futura Extra Bold Condensed. There is a subtle difference in boldness.

By the way, Spiritman, I would LOVE to have the proggie you did. Nice job with the mix and the graphics!!!

Yeah it would make more up to date.

But if Channel 4 or YTV chose to use it as a theme tune may not be a hit with older viewers (which a fraction watch Countdown) and they would moan about that.
