I saw Ace (Frehley's Comet) perform at a small bar called the Cubby Bear in Chicago 1992. He blew my hair back when he played Strange Ways from the Kiss Hotter than Hell album. Gladwyne Music Publishing Corp.was co publisher of that song. No other Kiss songs were played, well let me re-phrase that. He played New York Groove but that was from his solo album. He didnt get any money from Psycho Circus sales...he only holds rights to his Kiss solo album.I think he has Kiss permission to play songs live in concert but if they appear on a vid,he has to pay Kiss royalties...kinda fucked if you ask me

I think after they made the 1978 solo albums, Gene and Paul carried a lot of jealousy toward Ace, as his was the most successful.

There's been some great Lead Guitarists out there but Ace is the Greatest hands down. He can shred like the devil and always puts his heart and sole into it.

As far as KISS is concerned, I'm sorry, but if you look at the interviews with Gene and/or Paul after every Lead Guitarist has left KISS, they are always downing that person. Even at times Thayer. Gene and Paul don't want a great Guitarist, that's obvious. Why? It would take the spotlight off of them. Ace is better off without KISS.

Ace and Peter were part of a great band but it has been 20 years since they were really part of the band. I have seen both combos and the current combo is much better than the old. If the stories are true and the stories are told by more folks then Gene and Paul, Ace was not loyal to the band. The stories include refusing to record because he was playing poker. I like the rebel in him and get it. I listen to music sober so I actually hear what they are playing. Ace is inconsistent in my opinion. I will see him when he passes through next time. If he is playing poorly like several times before I will just leave early.

I went to see Kiss 9/28/09 here in Paso Robles, Ca mid-state fair and my family and I had seats about 5 rolls away from the stage, I was shocked it didn't sell out and most of the seats in the bleachers were empty, I seen Kiss in 1998 with Ace, Peter, Paul and Gene-SOLD OUT!
