Bishop Spalding was celebrating Mass one day. a young boy of eight years was serving Mass at St. Mary's cathedral and dropped a wine cruet. After Mass the boy apologized to the Bishop. Spalding told the boy that he should go to Louvaine in Belgium and he would become a Bishop one day... that boy was Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen!
@francissisterspeoria yes I have. I watched in in a Bible study I was part of at the Badley Newman center. I am actually going to show it at a Bible study I am co-instructing at the Methodist Church behind the Main Library. It is not ironic at all that it was actually one of the students who asked me to show it, I had never planned on it. It is amazing that even in death he is still reaching out to people.
