This is actually referred to in the New Testament.

Hebrews 11:35 reads: Women received their dead raised to life again: and others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection:

Even so, the Church rejected this book. This puts them at odds with the Author of Hebrews. Interesting that this is the same chapter that literally defines Christian faith. We can't even make it through the "Chapter of Faith" without doubting God.
