a memory from childhood.my dad was always watching.thought he was funny then, now as a GROWN UP he is hilarious.people are still telling these jokes now,a bit old now but then.....amazing.
Oh man, I am so happy that you put this up and I found it. Memories are just flooding back. The fact I can remember the theme song after 30 years is proof enough...
ha one of the best comedians out there, thing with irish comedians (im irish btw) there are lots of funny ones but to become big they have to go to bbc to get recognised
As a kid growing up in rural Georgia (U.S.) I would sit up late at night during the summer months and watch "Dave Allen At Large." What a funny show that was.
During my childhood, syndication of Dave Allen and Benny Hill began in the USA. I always preferred Dave to Benny, but it seems Benny became much bigger over here. To me, Dave was always a bit more subtle, and Benny was a bit more over the top. Both were good.
Dave Allen doesn't get remembered enough considering he's one of the greatest comedians ever!

Just loved Dave Allen! One comedian who doesn't mind taking the "P" out of himself.

I loved Dave Allen but most of his sketches were very corny although there were a few classic ones.
