  • Did you know foghat toured for over 2 straight years before they ever released a single?/ slow ride was first off their 3rd LP radio stations just played the whole albums from the first two

  • Twice I tried to see these guys. Once they were to warm up for Triumph but the lead singer had strepped throat or something so Head East played and they did well but not Foghat. Another time I saw them at a race track in East Moline IL and they played this song then a severe T-storm rolled in and I hid in an outhouse with some girl I didn't even know and rode out the storm. After that it was wading through 2 feet of water to get a beer but the concert was over after one song. Memorable!

  • My Dad seen these guys in 1977 With Rick Derringer Opening in Tampa! He Said alot of Booze,Ludes714,Coke,Joints, and Chicks passing out in his arms.

  • Saw them in 1976 at the old Capital Center outside of Washington DC in Largo Md. I forgot who opened for them but I remember meeting Rod Price at a meet and greet maybe 2 hrs before the show at a local hotel and he was great. Saw them again in the 1990s.

  • This was just plain F........ Awesome! Thank you for sharing.

  • Horrible. Most over rated at that time. redundant, cliche etc etc.

  • @truesilvermoon Over rated are you on drugs... Lol... They got no recognition at all over-rated you think AC/DC , Led Zeppelin , lets face it you've heard one Zeppelin song you've heard them all , and AC/DC is the same and AC/DC stole there moves/sound from Chuck Berry....

  • @mywotzone right on led zeppelin sucks!

  • @truesilvermoon If you think foghat is overrated their's something wrong with ure ears

  • Viva Mejico Cabrones .... WTF?

  • Just not the same without Lonesome Dave RIP

  • いたいた! ハード・ブギバンド “フォガット”~~FOOL FOR THE CITY LIVE!でかいのはロッド・プライスかな?イカスー!

  • Roger Earl, the original and only Foghat drummer, is still alive and well and doesn't look like he needs to watch his weight. The original guitarist, Rod Price, had grown quite obese over the years and died from a heart attack.

  • @timoteotresgatos Actually, he accidentally fell down the stairs according to everything I've read about his death. No mention of a heart attack.

  • Saw them in Dec. '76 in Pittsburgh. First concert ever, they were with Bob Seger and it was the Night Shift tour. Great album, too.

  • IF you saw these guys in the 1970s you were lucky.

Watching this video now, I can remember why they were so great. Still were.

Take care of you health. Wish Roger Earl had watched his weight more.

Lossing Lones Dave to cancer was bad enough.

  • lástima ese final :-( no podés arruinar un R&R así!

  • shame they dont come to the uk, or have they?

  • iamthejtg-how was the live Foghat show?

  • Goin to see them today LIVE!!!

  • he's playing a cigar box guitar!! how awesome is that!!

  • Hope someone was standing by with a fire extinguisher whil Rod was burnin' up those frets.

  • It's so sad that so many younger people don't know of Foghat. I'm only 13 years old and this is my fave song , ITS AWESOME!!!

  • It has been many years --never realized the lead guitar was so great --this guy kicks it all over the place and cleans up after.............

  • @MultiShades

yes very good guitarwork on this video

  • saw them at 16 years old at commack arena in new york. what a show

  • ROCK ON FOGHAT SAN DIEGO @ TAMPA BAY WILL ALWAYS LOVE AND REMEMBER YOU ALL. THANKS FOR THE SLOW RIDE....XOOOOOOOO)XX

  • Foghat is the best band in the history of recorded instruments. Take KISS and stick them up the arse of the newest Airbus jet, they're the biggest tards that have ever graced the green earth of America. Foghat is by far the greatest rock band in history. Prove me wrong if you disagree.

  • Lonesome Dave, miss you man!!!! Great showman and lead singer!!

  • i will never b itch about being old. i am so glad to have been a youngster and being able to grow up listing to the best bands and the best music ever , the 70's and 80's will never be out done ever., people my age and older have been blessed to have lived it. and when i think about it.. times where hard sometimes but so was the rock.. • i'm a fool for her titties (.)(.)

  • This was a strange twist of fate. I listened Foghat a lot as a kid growing up in Iowa through the '70s. Then other things/responsibilities came a long and I lost track of where the band went. Then, in 2005 I hear Rod Price has just died in his home in WIlford, NH, about 30 minutes from Nashua, NH where I live now.

Does anyone know when Rod originally moved to NH? I assume he moved to Wilton because it's both out of the way yet close enough to urban & transportation when you need it.

  • This is a jamming song..ROCK ON!!!!!

  • I love the 70's music better than the 80's.

  • Here's another great vastly underated rock band!!!! Love this song!!!

  • This is the best rock band ever, the new lineup is entertaining but not this good, obviously. Agreed that the new lead singer, Charlie Huhn, sounds somewhat like Bon Scott. Charlie does have the chops and like Dave Peverett, he can rock the electric guitar. That is why the band picked him, Roger Earl and Dave Peverett attended a Humble Pie show, and Charlie sang for Humble Pie. His voice blew them away. So Dave handpicked Charlie to be the new lead singer from his deathbed. Go see the band live!

  • I'm glad that the original foghat finally had the chance to play together again.

  • my 1st concert ever attended...Foghat! I was in 9th grade and too young to drive...'Climax Blues Band' was the opening act!.. 1978? i think... tickets were $6 or $7 each! Foghat rocked and i realized I wanted to be a rock star!!

  • @salfalfa47

Those were the days...Hell, I can't afford to go to a concert anymore!

  • @salfalfa47

You must be the same age as me. I was listening to Foghat back then and I must say they were cool.

  • Looks like oneof them is playing a Bo Diddly type guitar---Gretsch mae Diddly's and Billy Gibbons has a model he calls his BillyBO model

  • Underrated band, one of the best rock songs ever.

  • My favorite dudes ever.... My best getting drunk in the 70's music... R.I.P. Lonesome Dave and Rod Price... the best ever British Rock ever

  • Foghat lives forever.

  • looks like they ate all their profits...

  • wow impressive

  • todays generation is soooo lamme they dont come up like we did . they just lay around and get smacked back and dont want to work im sure glad i came up in the 70s and 80s

  • i HAD THE GOOD FORTUNE OF SEEING THE ORIGINAL BAND 4 OR 5 TIMES BACK IN THE DAY - F-CKING AWESOME! (i MUST admit that I like the current band as well - lead singer sounds a bit like Bon Scott)

  • Gosh .. I sure do miss these guys !

  • RIP lonesome dave and Rod Price , You really rock

  • I saw foghat and j giles band in the early 70's at the old coloseum in houston there was 4 of us and olny 2 tickets we got past the front door and me and my bro jump the rops we got in the arena the cops gave up we got stone again.

  • still kickin ass....thx foghat

  • When I heard Rod died , I got really sad for the state of rock and roll now....the old school is passing on and I hope the kids get it right.....but it will never be the same.

  • @clocktime11 - The kids are not getting it right.

  • @FredericaBimble Some of us are trying.

  • fog hat kicks ass....

  • Fukin' Killer

  • great guitar solo have to learn that one myself..

  • he's not great stevie ray vauhan jimi hendrix richie blackmore eric clapton bo didley there great

  • @irobot2009able Yes he is great. The guys you mentioned are great too but if you are unfamiliar with Price's stuff, Please pick up a DVD and just watch him and listen, you will be blown away. (this video is not his best stuff) My Foghat DVD is still my favorite DVD to listen to out of everything I own. IMO the best slide guitarist I've ever heard. RIP

  • Hard to believe that's Rod Price. Looks here like a truck driver who loves ham and eggs at the truck stop everyday.

  • the real deal! Real rock n' roll-those were the days!!!

  • ....the shows at the Coarsegold Inn around '75 .... wow!! these guys were the real deal !!!!

  • kick ass rock...saw them twice back in the day....they stiil sound great

  • Lonesome Dave R.I.P.

  • I found this "album " in a box and I had'nt heard it for 20 yrs so awesome brings back a lot of memories from the 70's lol real rock and roll can't replace it too bad

  • @souwestca just get more musicians to the 70's state of mind again ppl are focusing way to much on hits and money, back then it was like just play music because you liked it and everyone did it :p

  • Hee-hee...yeah, kids think that performers now have to do all these stupid hand movements. All painted with tats and lookin' ugly as hell. New music has gone ta hell in a hand basket. Foghat is the best band in rock and roll history, and the guys playing here in 1993 at this reunion show are the original members of the band reunited for this show. Rock on to it!

  • what year do you guys think this was? they sound great

  • Man, that was refreshing! Rod Price kicked serious guitar ass. Sure wish he was still around.

  • Real Rock, there is no substitute. Brings back a great time when rock was more about the music than the MONEY.

  • dave rocks

  • i could give you a dedication DeeNean.

  • I saw these guys twice in the 70s, graduated in '77, I grew up on this music. Great times, great music, great people. These guys put on a hell of a show, and they sound awesome in person. Unlike alot of other bands. We had real RocknRoll back then. Unfortunately kids today dont know what it is. They think some half retard screaming into a mic with boob boom boom in the background is music.

  • the new lineup sucks! The new lead singer sucks and there arent any catchy riffs. What has rock come to? Justine Bieber and the jonas fags? Bring back the classics! But make them not suck!

  • I was 16...I had the album on vinyl.

  • omg hes playing an electric shoebox

  • glad they're still rockin', but the singer needs to take his pitch up a half note. he's a little flat...

i'd still pay to see them, though!

  • Dave on Vocals And Rod on Lead !!! DAYUM !! I am very Fortunate, too have grown up on this Music ! I Will never ever forget !

  • I love rock songs

  • seeing them on saturday should be freaking great

  • You can bet yer ass these guys know how to rock. Man! Do I have a nice collection of good County and Rock 'N Roll and the memories to go with 'em!

  • These guys rock...

  • Dave Peverett (lonesome Dave) was part owner of a music store behind my Hi school in rocky point long island, i used to meet him there about twice a week to shoot the shit! the band lived in miller place (long island) for most of it's time.

you could always find them at port Jeff harbor in any bar usually alone member.

my friend's dad owned a foreign repair shop at the time and roger earl (drummer) brought his car in for repair and guess who took a test drive at 1:00 am..yep that was me roger!

  • @rowiton Oh i forgot to mention that was a Lamborghini....

  • first concert i ever went to Boogie Hill Tiffin Ohio 1975 Foghat, Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Suzie Quatro, Angel Rock-n-F-ing Roll!!!!!!!!!!

  • @whatismyusername123 I was at that concert too.....same day hangover.

  • my speakers are not loud enough for this song! volume to the MAX!!!

  • Saw Foghat, Styx, and Head East at Hirsch Coliseum in Shreveport, La. in '78. AWESOME concert. I remember this number , for sure. Thru the smoke cloud in the nosebleeds. Styx put on a tremendous show. Memories.

  • fool for the city, slow ride,i just wana make love to u, and driving wheel best songs evr by foghat

  • buena musica, buenos guitarristas

  • buena musica, excelente guitarrista, una gran nostalgia de juventud

  • Wow, wish I hadn't seen this. I saw Foghat in 77'... they look/sound like a parody of themselves here, but what makes it even worse is, its really them.

  • @generatrix999 i agree.saw them in 78 at the top of their game.this was kinda sad to see.dave straining his voice and a hugely overweight rod price sweating through a well played solo .i heard price died of a heart attack at his home-not suprisingly

  • @sobuliak

No doubt after this show they went out and ate a 'good meal' whatever the hell that is.

Ever Roger Earl looks fat here, back then (70's) he weighed probably 120 lbs

  • @generatrix999 kinda makes me glad led zepplin and other bands did not get back to do a tour.I like to remember them in their prime

  • @sobuliak i think they sound pretty damn good here. who cares what they look like. people get older. it's a fact of life. they kept on rockin, and for that i'm glad.

  • @txdrifter38 I agree. I like the old guitar man! He can still crank it out after all these years. Impressive. Like the vocals also. Even with advanced age they sound Much better than many new, young bands!

  • Foghat ROCKS & "Foghat Live" is one of the best albums of all.

  • I just got back from a foghat show 2 hours ago and it was so bad ass

  • bonso mean"s youngest .tagalog languaged/

  • Man...I'm a fool for the city!

  • sounds pretty good for live

  • RIP Lonesome Dave And Rod Price thanks for the memories

  • Carl's Brutanananajewski of AQTHF fame f avourite l band..

  • THIS SONG ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Listen ta Roger beat those drums? Who else drums this heard, rockhounds?

muttville1-spelling error. I meant who else beats the drums as hard as Mr. Roger Earl? He is my favorite drummer of all time!

  • @bwho

    bonzo..lol

  • @sekhmetraptah What do you mean by bonzo? Please explain.

  • @bwho

...the late john bonham aka bonzo aka drummer for led zeppelin

  • @sekhmetraptah Ahh...so. I now see what you're talkin' about. I am way more of a Foghat fan than Led Zep, though I ackknowledge what you're sayin' about John Bonham. To say he was a great drummer is so much of an understatement it's almost not worth saying, huh? =:O

  • @bwho

    that's correct, actually...but i was answering your original question...lol.

regarding your last statement, Lonesome Dave's artistry caught my eye in Savoy Brown continuing on to Foghat and beyond; and when Dave left us, it was too painful to follow until now.

things were further compounded when we lost Rod.

rest in peace Dave Peverett and Rod Price...you're both sorely missed...truly, deeply, madly

  • foghat jams...

  • Listen ta Roger beat those drums? Who else drums this heard, rockhounds?

  • @bwho huh?

  • Foghat is from London, Eng-ahh-lund.

  • My very favorite Foghat's song! thanks for upload it!!

  • FOGHAT " THE ROCKERS

  • I would guess that Foghat is talking about New York City. They were based there in NYC for the longest time. R&R nastiness here...these guys are the greatest blues-rock band in the history of rock and roll. Period.

  • One of the top 10 most underated bands of all time.

  • Wooow still going strong!!!!

  • awesome song!!!!!!!!!!

  • RIP...Lonesome Dave...

  • KISS FM 102,01 São Paulo - Brazil !

  • great vid thanks for postin

  • Does anyone know what city foghat is talking about?

  • @Aliendear Japan! :B

  • @rockeir0107 Japan is a country. I speculate Foghat is talking about New York City, but I'm not sure. Because new york is a fun & busy place. It can't be about London, because it talks about 'my inner city child', which is a reference to pure & innocent people. And pure & innocent people are who built new york city. It is reflected in the big buildings & skyscrapers, and especially coney island.

  • @Aliendear that makes a lot of sense... :B but I'm pretty sure that Japan is a town... I haven't gone to school, because of my super model career, but for what I've heard, Japan is a Asian town... I don't know where's Asia, though

  • rock is foghat!

  • FOGHAT FOREVER

  • RIP both Rod & Dave. We miss you Bro's ! Your a huge loss. But you left us with a ton of great music and memories.

  • I remember me and my buddy went to see Foghat at a small club in Point Dume Malibu in 1990 and when we were sat down there were only 7-10 others. The band bailed and I don't blame them.
