This is true word b/c the word in I Timothy3 speaks of qualifcations of a Bishop and deacon and some of the mains ones are 1)the husband of one wife, 2)having his house and children in order. I used to believe that is was okay for a woman to preach or be a pastor in a church because I used to be under a female pastor, Juanita Bynum was also one of my pastors. It caused alot of confusion and put the Jezebel spirit on me and I had to deal with the spirit of jealousy that ran rampant in both churches and still do. Although women can be a prophetess, she is not called to priesthood in an assembly! Also alot of female pastors either don't get married or can't keep a husband.

The simple test is how many women did Christ call to be an Apostle? He set the standard. Acts 2 refers to a witness. We are all called to witness, but not preach or pastor. Pastor Smith preaches to holiness. Therefore, no issue is irrelevant. Many preach to emotions. He preaches the "TRUTH" as is recorded in the Word. You use scripture to interpret scripture not feelings or opinions. The truth doesn't always agree with your emotions. He is right on this issue. Amen!!!!

What you do not understand is that Jesus call the Jewish leaders "Vipers" and called other people names as well. They are what they are. You just have to understand that. Looks like the daughters are prophesying and to prophesy means to preach!

I used to believe that is was okay for a woman to preach or be a pastor in a church because I used to be under a female pastor, Juanita Bynum was also one of my pastors. It caused alot of confusion and put the Jezebel spirit on me and I had to deal with the spirit of jealousy that ran rampant in both churches and still do. Although women can be a prophetess, she is not called to priesthood in an assembly! Also alot of female pastors either don't get married or can't keep a husband.

This is and always has been a controversal issue. But, the word is the word. I don't agree with the method, nor the tone that's being used, but the word is the word. Yes, the scripture does say, your sons and daughter shall prophesy, but the key word is prophesy. that does NOT mean preach. That's two different things.

I definitely don't agree with this pastor b/c all he is doing is tearing down everything around him including the members of the church. How are your members blessed by this preaching? Even if you are right in your condemnation your purpose is to build up the people and lead them to Christ, not to beat down everybody who is in the lime light b/c they made a mistake in the words or their lives. @SolideoGloriafella -First all in the Garden of Eden were cursed,-Adam, Eve, the serpent, and the ground. So what's your point? Next Paul tells the church in Romans 16:1 to "...assist her.." If she were not suppose to speak on God why didn't Paul tell her to sit down and follow the leaders of the church? Also Paul described Phoebe as a deacon, diakonos in greek, so how can you go against Paul's actions?

Also dont take scripture out of context, that then becomes false doctrine. The simple test is how many women did Christ call to be an Apostle? He set the standard. Acts 2 refers to a witness. We are all called to witness, but not preach or pastor. Pastor Smith preaches to holiness. Therefore, no issue is irrelevant. Many preach to emotions. He preaches the "TRUTH" as is recorded in the Word. You use scripture to interpret scripture not feelings or opinions. The truth doesn't always agree with your emotions. He is right on this issue. Amen!!!!

Keep preaching the truth, people only get mad because the truth hurts. We need to understand that just because we see women playing the role of pastors, this does not mean God called them. The bible doesn't give us any example of women preaching the gospel. This is part of the reason that so many homes are out of order today.

Sir I do understand that people has a difference of interpitation of scripture. Whatever your position is is to be respected becaus of the position you hold. What you do not understand is that Jesus call the Jewish leaders "Vipers" and called other people names as well. They are what they are. You just have to understand that. I enjoy a lot of what Pastor Smith is preaching because that is what I was brought up on when I first got saved and it is still in me. I do not however, agree that women cannot be preachers. Joel 2:28 says: And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. Looks like the daughters are prophesying and to prophesy means to preach!

Prophesying does not mean to preach. Prophesy and preach are 2 totally different words & have 2 totally different meanings. U R misinterpreting the scripture. Notice that there R absolutely no womem preaching anywhere in scripture, none were lead by God to write any of the books of the bible, none were disciples or Apostles, none of the major or minor prophets R women. A mere coincidence? I think not.

Whoever you are, your example was weak. Telling Mary to go tell the disciples that he was alive is not a direct comand to teach them or preach to them and Mary did not do either. You can not find ANYWHERE is scripture where she started a ministry or did any evangelical work. It was his disciples who were given the command to go into all of the world and teach all nations. No where in the Word can you find a woman doing so.

It was to stop every one from speaking all at once. The same thing with "Will a man rob God" in Mal. That scripture was for the church leaders. But they have turned it around to make u give to them. and the bible says if anyman preach another gospel to you let him be accursed.its plain and simple dont'take anything out or add anything to the word of god,god doenst' change and the bible doesnt' change.we need to stop making excuses and obey the word of god and living the way the bible says in holiness. does that answer your question vtcdurham.

Antwoine, yes you answered my question. You said God doesn't change and the Bible doesn't change, but why do we worship on Sundays and not Saturdays if God and the Bible does not change?

I agree women arent' suppose to preach,but the problem is many people today are trying to change the word of god and thats something you dont' do,the word of god doesnt' change,

1 Tim. 2 & 1 Cor. 14 is really not speaking against women in leadership roles in the church. If you find out the reason why Paul said what he said, you will understand that he was dealing with culture issues of that day. If you take every word in the Bible like it is, then you have to admit that slavery is o.k. In Christ there is neither male nor female. Deal with it.

VTHCD you don't know what you are talking about. Deal with that! And if you can't understand a simple verse as Galatians 3:28 and what it obviously was talking about, you really need to go back to Sunday school before you try to tell somebody what the Word of God means.
