Just what made this game so good?

1: OH SO MUCH The music

The music ALWAYS fit in the stage no matter what, Weather it was a high speed chase, Or a slow emerald finding stage. It ALWAYS fit in.

2: Sonic actually running, Not turning in to that sonic unleashed crap,and not overdone superforms.

3: Causing you to not expect the unexpected!

You never knew what was coming until you fully beat both of the hero and dark stories!

Then a secret mystery story was added.

-All in all: Best sonic game EVER.

@madman18able Whenever I drift I usually roll into things like cars and walls heck even pits sometimes when I jump on something I keep on moving and fall of the object usually dying and in the Perfect Chaos boss I die half the time by being too fast, I have the PS3 version.

I spent 10 hours or so on the the story mode, 300 hours in Chao Garden, and 40 hours or so grinding for my Chao. Chao are the greatest thing to spawn out of the sonic series, imo.

I love this game, its my favorite of the Dreamcast series, it was the second Sonic game I ever played, Sonic Adventure being my first which I played at 4 years old and finished about five years later. xD This may be disrupted by Generations but I guess my list goes:

1.) Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

@IlikeFoodnDrink PS3 and Xbox 360 gets almost EVERYTHING Sonic related, they already have SONIC GENERATIONS! I think it should be for the Wii, the Wii hardly has anything to it's name, no Starfox, no decent Sonic games like THIS, hardly anything. The controls with the classic wii controller AND the gamecube controller would be good since they're both almost identical. The 360 is like a newer version of the Dreamcast controller, so those two consoles I can agree on. PS3 + Sonic = NO.

@TurboMiroku Sega can pretty much do as they please. Plus, since Sonic games tend to run on different gaming engines, the PS3 and Xbox 360 are pretty much optimal choices for it. The Wii just cannot keep up with the hardware competition which makes it harder to have any visually appealing Sonic games.

Also, I don't see what's wrong with having a Sonic game on the PS3. It's not that bad.

I remember playing this game during the summer when i was 10 at my brother's friend's house on DreamCast. I could beat everything but a level where all the characters had to work together. I believe it was called Cannon's Core if i'm correct?

Sonic adventure 2 battle is by far the greatest sonic game ever. The voice acting is pretty good, the gameplay has been improved since adventure 1, some of the most annoying glitches from adventure 1 are gone, and the music is just fantastic. Ted Poley, Tony Harnell, and Crush 40 are amazing.
