That is just stupid. about as stupid as destroying race cars in california, they can at least pull the parts off the cars and wheels to sell to the car guys that will use them for show, there are a vast number of tuners that dont race their cars but only use them for show purpose.

Yeah, I saw a W reg Ford Mondeo and a Daewoo Matiz in a scrapyard recently. It's ridiculous how quick cars lose their value nowadays. 20-30 years ago all cars in the scrapyard were rust buckets. Nowadays they're full of vehicles without even a visible trace of rust. Something goes mechanically wrong with them and it costs more to fix than they're work. It's ludicrous. There shouldn't be any cars less than 15 years old in scrapyards.
