there are numerous chemicals in foods like disodium EDTA that react with metal halides in mercury, iron. particularly badly with mercury. you want to see something fucking serious? look into arrowroot baby cookies' ingredients. there are 2 chemicals in there that react with one another in your body in a way that is a fucking completely obvious attack on infant health.
I don't like to eat cereal to begin with on the box, but iron is a NATURALLY occuring element. Your body actually needs iron. Your blood needs the iron to work properly. Without iron, you would die. Now, I don't think that the cereal companies are taking large columns of iron and grinding it down and sprinkling it on the cereal, but interesting little experiement here.
@HikariHime29 you might want to look into GMO foods, like corn. 80% of corn and 91% of soybeans in this country are GMO. genetically modified. sugar has been replaced by high fructose corn syrup in virtually any product you can imagine. look at any study of hfcs. 30-50% of products containing this corn syrup also contain mercury. you can't make this shit up. it's a MAJOR contributor to diabetes as well, which is why there is such an epidemic now in America.
I always refudes too eat this cereal crap. I dont eat processed food. You should take a look at the factories where they fix your junk and you'll never eat it again.
@buno67 - Actually the ARE more forms of iron. Iron in food are ions. This is the one you need. Something completely different from the metallic iron found in cereals (and nails). This one does not belong in food.
@MijnheerSlagt You're quite the retard. Iron is an element and cannot be broken down further. That's it. If you went further than sixth grade you would know that.
he's just having fun with his daughter, and it's pretty cool, i noticed my dry, plain rice krispies were sticking to my foam cup so i searched this to see if my assumption about it being the iron was true
"no, no and NOOO!!" :)
