debby notwithstanding, record companies, then run by oldsters, didn't know what might or might not be popular, and the record business for this kind of music was still underground, so stuff like this got released, as bad it is. maybe a child of one of the record company bosses knew someone in the band. these bands got paid nothing, so it was a small investment by the companies, and in this case the return was probably nothing. and rightfully so.
