  • Hello!! Thank you for the video. My jaw sounds, do you recommed surgery? which type or surgery? Laura

  • this experience changed my life. i was teased in school really bad behind the changes. when i was 15 i got the surgery and it changed my life. i owe it all to God. i m now 28 and i m going on.

  • With MSM I'm able to get on with my life. thank you for showcasing this video because alot of people don't understand that they are experiencing TMJ until it is too late. My TMJ issues caused my left side of my cheek to look bigger than the right due to the bruxism. This does bother me but I have to be patient with my doctor. I naturally notice the slight difference and it did make me upset when it happened but I am glad that I found out what it was. Hope this helps someone out there. Hugs.

  • @naveen1972z

Hey I have the same problem in that the muscles on one side of my face are a bit bigger because they've been over worked and stressed because of my tmj. now I am having this treatment done soon ( splint put in) do you think there is a chance to get that beautiful facial symmetry back over time... what did your doctor tell you? thx :)

  • The doctor told me that it "could" go back. I've been dealing with this since last June after I got my wisdom teeth removed. The doctor says mine is subtle but if it's so subtle why have I gone to plastic surgeons only to be turned away? It's almost as if people are saying I'm a hypochondriac. I know what my face looked like before this happened. My TMJ specialist put me on a 6 month treatment program. I personally can't wait that long. My suggestion is find a good craniofacial specialist.

  • Concerning symmetry:

I believe it will come back during therapy. I try to think positive now, because since this has happened last year I've become a little stronger. I'll keep doing the treatment and just pray it comes back. This is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my whole entire life. My assymetry occured in intervals so I have watched my face go from one extreme to the next. It's like living in a nightmare.

  • I can't chew gum anymore. I am on a liquid diet, oatmeal, green smoothies. I eat alot of vegetables now, mostly in smoothies, and one thing that helps me and I take it daily is MSM, it's called Opti MSM and it is sulfur, the natural occurring kind. I've been taking it for awhile but I read that it really helps with inflammation caused my arthritis which I do have in my Temporal Mandibular Joint. I take the flakes a tbsp twice a day plus my meds. I don't drink any caffeine because of bruxism.

  • through hell. I finally went to a chiropractor because the pain moved to my neck down my back, temple and jaws. Bad bad pain! After the chiropractor used up my insurance lol, I started reading and contacted another oral surgeon who took Xrays and now I am with one of the best TMJ specialist in my area. I wear a splint and take meds. Muscle relaxers, pain meds. I'm on a 6 month treatment plan. I have to give it time because my bruxism nearly wore out my masseter muscle on the right side.

  • I have TMJ issues bad. I just got my splint. I went through 8 months of hell. All of my problems occurred after I got my wisdom teeth taken out early last year. The doctor believes that the oral surgeon did not have me placed in the chair correctly for the initial surgery. At first I thought I had a brain tumor. I visited the ER on numerous occassions. I had CT Scans, MRI's performed. I'm a Vet so i was seen at the VA hospital as well. Thought I had an ear infection at first. I have been ....

  • This Dr. sounds good.

  • After a detist adjusted crowns on teeth 2, 3, 4, and 5, I went into severe tmj. I lost 15 pounds immediately. I can't chew and at first I didn't know how to eat. Pain was in my jaw joint, neck , back, resuling in entire body spams. Dentists don't realize how sick people get when their teeth don't fit together properly. I'm now starting to function again after learning to eat only liquids an mush. I resent not being able to eat solids. I can't close my teeth together

  • A prosthodontist made a splint for me which has brought my pain down to almost 0 all the time right away. If you have a bad bite I recommend going to a prosthodontist.

  • @cactimargie what is a prosthodontist?
