  • think radiohead ruined it as can't hear what Alan is saying.

  • my fav band of all time.. my fav philosopher of all time.. kudos, man. kudos.

  • Anti Boom what anti boom is that? He came out of the world of 1915 and during the 30's he became involved in Buddhism and Eastern Religions then here in the USA he became popular in the the 50's after the WII with the beat generation and then the 60's and early 70's during the Vietnam era where many of the boomers died in a war. What a hell of a name for a generation who had so much to offer and the alternative was to drop out and tune in,.

  • I couldn't have done it better myself. What great celebration of two creative lives that just happen to be on the list things that make life worth betting on (as AW once said).

Amazing work. Hope to see many more.

  • this is amazing

  • radiohead and alan watts holy shit two of my favorite things in the world! thanks for posting this

  • Alan Watts, four possiblities:

    1) Alan Watts is enlightened

    2) Alan Watts is not enlightened

    3) Alan Watts is enlightened and not enlightened

    4) Alan Watts is neither enlightened nor not enlightened

Radioheadand Alan Watts, the four possiblities

    1) Radiohead and Alan Watts are enlightened

    2) Radioheas and Alan Watts are not enlightened

    3) Radiohead and Alan Watts are both enlightened and not enlightened

    4) Radiohead and Alan Watts are neither enlightened or not enlightened..

  • 5) alan watts is just a concept.

  • beautiful!

  • What a beautiful celebration of two things in need of celebration.

  • Unglaublich gut....... Wonderful!

  • I love you man for posting this, i listened to Alan Watts like about a year ago only twice i think, i appreciated him soo much. Now i listen to radiohead all the time, and when i come across this video , !!! Soo happy :D

  • Infinitely beautiful... I'd love to sit and listen to this stunning song with Alan himself. "The meaning of being alive... is just being alive. That is to say; I look at the colour of your hair, and the shape of your eyebrow... and I understand that THAT is the point." This is a remarkably made video clip, piece of art... thank you for sharing it with us.

  • Who's Alan Watts? Can anybody tell me please? thanks

  • @ jujastorm. A little oversimplified: Alan Watts was a beatnik type who wrote books/gave talks introducing Zen Buddhism and other aspects of eastern philosophy and meditation to the West. I read several of his books between say 1970 and '75, at the time they (along with other stuff, especially about Zen) had a pretty powerful effect on my spiritual quest at the time. Been dead for quite some time, probably find many of his books on Amazon. See also Allen Ginsberg, Gary Snyder. Love, Carlos

  • Thank You very much, Carlos, for answering my question. I didnt know any of that.

  • He is great, look up "myth of myself", it is on youtube split into several parts, and it really jumpstarted a lot of new thinking for me. hope you enjoy it

  • What a fantastic tribute to Alan Watts, thank you for putting it together.

  • FANTASTIC!!

    Thanks 4 posting!!

    ;*

  • Its sad that this doesn't get enough publicity. This explains my life for quite a while... Listening to his recordings...constantly...everyone i could get my hand on.

  • Cool video ... I wonder what Alan would have thought of these creations using his recordings. I think on some he would see them as fun and creative expressive of the natural interaction of everything into the unfolding of the wiggly edges of the 'big bang' of this current incarnation of the Universe. Haha

  • I sort of like Watt's idea of shooting an arrow into the air. If by incredible chance it actually comes back and hits you, it could be considered an incredible coincidence of unlikely-ness that one could even consider it like being hit by a lightening-bolt from "Zeus"! haha ... I might have read something from Watts along those lines but I can't remember if that was the case or I'm just thinking of that now by myself. Anyway, the idea is uncomfortably amazing!

  • thank you! I can't wait to spam-out all my friends /w this video ;)

  • and watts the piont of all that?

  • What a fantastic tribute to Alan Watts, thank you for putting it together.

  • who made this?

  • Very well done. Nice mix of music and Alan Watt's speaking. I am a fellow fan of both Watts and Radiohead.

  • I've been watching what seem like 100s of super-slick Radiohead animations on Aniboom after doing my own Reckoner video, but this is the only one that's stuck with me. Such a simple concept, but so powerful. And I'd never even heard of Alan Watts. This is youtube at it's best. Thank you.

  • 'nuff said indeed.

Bringing together three of my favourite things in the world. Thanks for this. Very moving.

  • this is really, really good. thanks a lot for posting this. if you were the one who made it, then i hope you continue to make more great videos.

four minute warning would be nice. not about bombs necessarily, or the end of the world... be creative. i think you'd do a masterful job of it.

  • Fantastic video! Thanks so much :)

  • Fantastic job... a montage perfectly integrated with music that truly defines the Alan Watts essence! ... You are an extremely talented filmmaker!...

  • beautiful! even my dad enjoyed this. is radiohead actually a fan of alan watts or did you make this video up completely independent?

  • im sure they are, any one with intelligence is a fan of alan watts

  • Really nice. Alan Watts is such a pleasure to listen to. That Radiohead track is also a pleasure. Nice Video.

  • very inspiring video

  • who is the individual speaking in the video?

  • awsome , dude

  • Very nice video, love the artsy mix with the "VCR footage". Those 4 1/2 minutes seemed like a lot more with all that stuff in it.

  • Very well done!

  • This video is amazing -- thank you!
