You have inspired me to create my next masterpiece! I have decided to glue dead rats to a board, forming a circle; they will be chasing their tails. I shall call this masterpiece 'Modern Art Critics'. The stench will add an extra dimension to the viewing experience....
@hermitcrabbot - you'd be giving modern art critics way too much credit and devoting too much of your time to creating a homage. They deserve nothing less than a blank wall so they can write what they want and still remain as relevant as always. ;-)
@CatBlackArt - Hmmm... it would say this is a company that recogizes quality (and is prepared to pay top dollar for it) along with the essence of getting the job done with the least amount of fuss. After all it only takes one brush stroke to turn a blank canvas into a painting... at least that's what I'd tell them... everyone else would think 'Who the **** thought that was worthy of paying actual money for?!! The artist must be a genius!' Either way its a win for me and my bank account LOL
LOL! Man, your humor is so dry! Love it! I almost thought you were serious. But then I remembered who you were. lol. ~You could totally sell that for like 25g easily :P
@Coadytnp This is one of my favorite of my art comedy videos. It still surprises me when occasionally someone doesn't get the humor. Unfortunately I don't know nearly enough about art to make money from minimalism. You have to really focussed and spend a lot of time thinking about how to do less and still be meaningful. Painting in blue probably has one too many brush strokes to be taken seriously as minimalist art. ;-)
i wanna add that to my collection! i bought what i thought was just an ordinary banana peel the other day and this would really give it that extra douche bag feel
'Bland' is a fair description I'd say. More than happy to be in the company of Albert and Sarte too (though I had to look them up first) they sound like my kind of people.
call it big bang, triple it triple it twat, some maximillian floant on some cool jazz sushi rant makes you not a minimalist, perhaps we should have ahurricane take your tools away from you, slimeball on a canvas
Hey, ET2, the Romedawg here. Oh man, was this a very very creative video. It's like watching visual comedy. lol. Soooooo true about galleries loving that stuff. lol. This one's going to my favorites folder. lol. Keep'em coming, keep'em coming. :)
Cool!! Is that the term now? Think how much you'll make when you get to 'Maximism in Art!' I can't wait! ...but...with a whole series of colours to go in the 'Minimalism in Art' series - we might have a l..o..n..g wait!! Far out....or something!
I thought this was very funny...loved the change of gear from 'smart to artie!' LOL!
'Maximism'. I don't think I've heard of that...is that where you just take everything you have and put it onto the canvas? Glad you enjoyed it...I like making these short sketches...they're kind of fun...especially when the web cam doesn't play up.
Good advice Bryan...my work will probably make more money after I die so I'll wait untill then before selling anything then reap the rewards...oh - maybe not LOL ;)
Yes, green would be nice. ;)

@etourist2
I wasn't considering my masterpiece as 'homage' to the critics. It would be more like an indictment.
However, you've given me another vision of a true 'homage' for them: a toilet bolted to the wall, with
a round mirror inserted in the hole facing the viewer. I will call it 'Flush Twice'.
hermitcrabbot 5 months ago
@hermitcrabbot - Why do I get the feeling the critics would praise such a work and call it 'Art'? LOL ;-)

awh, someone doesnt understand art :/ sorry dude
essejpatterson 1 year ago
@essejpatterson - It's just a joke. You watch one video and make a broad assessment of my understanding of art?
etourist2 1 year ago
It is a relatively good idea, but I think a more Central Composition would have worked better?
ivanofna 2 years ago
Maybe... but I think being off centre makes it edgier ;-)

Great video, minimalism is really just a polite word for laziness!
TheBlackPage1 4 years ago
Thanks. Not all minimalism is laziness but for much of it I do agree with your statement.

dude..you're truly amazing. your personality is bland..(in a good way!) you remind me of albert camus or Sarte. i'm a fan of yours.

I figured someone with such a unique style of word smithing might also extend themselves to video commentary. I'd certainly watch.
