  • great job girls....

  • The great salawan song

  • Nicely done. Good flow and all. I've been dancing since I was 4 years old and I gotta say you guys impress me a lot. Off on some minor parts, but I actually enjoyed watching it.

  • I LOVE it (;

  • you guys are awesome

    nice dance!

  • wow! this is simple nd pretty! u girls did a great job!

  • i am Mien, and I say i am proud of that Hmong girls are dancing this. Hmong and Mien don't have country but we have a great influence from Lao and Thai. I wish we could all embrace each other because South East Asian countries are so beautiful!

    Salawannnnnn :)

  • u guys are good!

  • @ Saffronrevo I never said that this is a HMONG dance, get it straight. But i do agree that it's not a HMONG dance. If you go back and read what i wrote you will hopefully understand that all i'm trying to say is that the credit goes to these HMONG girls. no one ever said anything about HMONG or Lao pride. And yes it does matter who choreographed the dance because not all dance are the same even if they were copied.

  • nice dance! i like it alot. :D

  • Very nicely done...

  • i agree with MicThao -- i dislike the new hmong style dancing ... too much twisting and turning that they don't care to use their hands anymore ... creativity should be shown in the hands and wrist movement!

  • love the dance

  • Slow is nice but you know how some hmong

og are, they want creativity than original

  • I love this! Now this is ORIGINAL! Others cant compare to this. They twist, stomp, and swing too much. Keep it original :)

  • i can watch this dance and never get tired of it!

  • u guys are GOOD!!

makes the song seem pretty calm lol!

I wander y when dancers dance to thai songs, they don't find the slow ones...it's A LOT BETTER!

  • its called salawan!

  • This dance is very good. :) I hope to see some new for 2010 Cambodia and Laos are good friend. May Buddha bless our two nations.

  • Love this song, and the routine. BUT! You ladies should have put a smile on (:

  • can ya tell me what this song is called

  • does anyone know what this song is called??

  • thai song not laos...

  • Well technically the song is actually Laotian- Morlam is an ancient Laotian form of singing and the song is formally from Laos-it is sung in Laotian [: after wars with Siam nearly 2.3 of the population of Laos had to leave Laos and live in the new northeastern area of thailand formally Laos. The Isan region has more Laotian speakers than the entire country of Laos its self Lol.

  • I mean 2/3 haha not 2.3 (:

  • hahah...i know that...lol..its kool tho ^^...

  • @laohmong123 I'm agree with song151 it is Thai song You need to do some reasearch and compare between Thai salawon lumvong and Lao Salawan. This Hmong dance is dance in the song of salawan lumvong thai version.

  • @eddienkik Yes Indeed I do know the difference, but shouldn't Laos get any credit ? I know this song is based from the Thai-Isan region. Too many damn wars, relocation of people, and name changing that created such a big confusion over the past 2 centuries! By the way I live Morlam anyways :].

  • You guys win for playing Jonas Anderson.

  • You guys have an awesome dance here! I like it a lot! The traditional Lao stuff gets old after a while. I like how you guys add some flavor to a the original!

  • You guys SUCK!!! ahahaha jus kiddin..I love your guys performance Jen! very very good..encore! encore!

  • i reallyyy looveee the choreography for this

  • i really want this song.......any information of where i can get it?

  • i really like to danc3....

  • o0h.. I loved it! It has the Lao dance style along with some modern effects. But it doesn't change the Lao style too much, plus it's very creative! Good work girls!

  • you guys are awesome

  • very goooooddddddd.

    =]

more ppl would've created such a better text

  • did the lao people even know you were hmong lol??

  • Love the dance.

  • did they make the dance on their own? its nice!

  • hello?

  • I agreed, this is a lao dance and a lao song but performed by Hmong. But they did well, also the outfits are not from laos.

  • This is not a Hmong dance. It is a Lao dance but by Hmong girls. Please give credit to Lao.

  • Comment removed

  • Laotians are great dancers, but they dance really slow cause they dance to the third beat of the song which makes it more graceful, we are dancing to the second beat i say it's in between :)

  • @Saffronrevo It doesn't matter if it's a Lao dance or not, the credit goes to the choreographers. The credit doesn't go to the Lao people for Jonas (who is a white guy) singing salawan does it? the people/person who performed it deserves the creadit.

  • VERY NICE! First dance I've seen that goes along with the beat. Love it!

  • what is the name to this song?

  • salawan ram wong by jonas anderson

  • nice

  • does anyone know the song and the singer of this song?

  • thank u(=

  • I love these Hmong girls. Yeah, much better then the Siam sun of bitches. Nice dance indeed. I am khmer and I love it.

  • hello!nice dance and song..what's the name of this song??

  • it's call salawan ram wong

  • yo... when someone say they are the best ever i kinda have my doubt that all..they r ok..but the best ever come on...lol

  • thats why i said you guys ROCK!!! I'm not trying to disrespect or anything...i just think you guys did a very good job. i love ur routine.

  • there is another group on here that dance to this same song but wasnt has good...u guys have them beat.

  • i agree, i've seen it..these guys are way better!

  • you guys are good, keeping it original unlike the rest....

  • hey this is good better then oura~

  • good job but the song is fast...ya moving a little to slow to the rhtyhm.....

  • their like the best hmong girl dancers ive ever seen.

  • Beautiful Work Ladies ^__^

    --Kat

  • WOW, ZOO NKAUJ LIS HEEJ AWS! wow, awesoome girs!

  • Wow, very well coordinated. I was very impressed. Usually I get all bored and irritated watching these kind of dances! Good job ladies.

  • the viet people kickd hmongs out out their country and had no where else to go so they came to laos and i guess we let them stay but hmongs and laos people are different people dnt get it twisted just cos yu live in a country doesn't mean your that race.

  • The Hmong originated from China 5,000 years ago, they lost to the war against the Chinese empire, and have scattered throughout Southeast Asia and all over the world. There are about 7 tribal groups, not just the Hmong.

  • didnt laos had land up in china before too south china.. and they were kkicked too??

  • Yepp Long Long Long Long Long ago LOL they are still Lao-Tai speakers in Laos especially Yunnan province in Sipsongpanna.

  • wow, i am actually impress. YOu guys go together, off on some parts but still very good. Good song with the dance.

  • cute

  • moung and lao people are all part of laos, as we share some similar tradition and culture we all should all be proud we come from the same country.

  • actually, we also did this same performance, for the lao new yr in colorado. we were so nervous that the laotions wouldnt like how we dance and the song we choose. but right when the song came on, i got to say they are my favorite audiences, they just strted clapping and singing and wen we got low lik in the beginning they all just scream and i'm talkin about laotion elders doing this..we felt so welcomed and respected. it was a very nice experience.

  • hey to be honest. u guys were da best.. what happened.. i didn't see u guys this year... keep it love.. i love ur dance.. the best this year...,.

  • @amkha69 Hmongs can be considered Laotians but they are not Lao. Just as the Khmu, Taidam and Taideng are not Lao. Only Lao can be considered Lao. Got it?

  • Great video!!! Awesome dance awesome song... I want to go to the USA and check out these hmong festivals/parties there are none up here.

    Like they say:

"One Face, One People, One Love"

Much love from lao in the 613. Peace.

  • how's life treating you over there..

  • I like it up here more than the USA...to tell you the truth...life here can be as you make of it...sink or swim it's up to you and I guess I am swimming.

  • that's good, so there isnt wars goin on over there?

  • war? 613 is Ottawa, Canada...it's peaceful here...more peaceful than the state...the streets are safe and the people are friendly...have you been to Canada?

  • ..they ARE the BESt! nkauj hmoob international in cali danced to the same song and it was only so so.

  • Good version of this song and a very good dance routine.

  • Hahaha, they are playing the Jonus version of the song. So who cares if Hmong people are dancing to a Lao song, the song is being sung in Isan style (mixed with Thai words)by a Swedish guy.

  • CHECK OUT THE FIRST PREVIEW of

READY FOR LOVE- HMONG DRAMA on YouTube

    THANKS

  • Love the song!!!

    Thanks for sharing

  • this year anther group did the ame song, but i still think this group is still the best..

  • love it!!!

  • hmmm. I wonder why the khmers call this song saravan and the laos/thai call it salawan. then what do the hmongs call it? in hmong language. seriously... make up a name to describe the hmong culture. we all from southeast asia. Lets live and share all our culture: khmer, thai, lao , hmong, lahu, viet, etc etc... sharing is caring.

  • we call it the same

  • Salawan is my girlfriend's name. She's very lovely.

  • AHAHAH.. funny

  • their dance is actually very good!!!!

  • um. I dont think you guys should use thai/khmer music especially salawan on your dances. but overall the dances are great.

  • um, good beat, our style

  • um, good beat, our style

  • They can use whatever music they choose. Music is music, there's no border or fences on music. I love the song and I love the dance! awesome I say!

  • nice dance... kepp up the good work...

  • omg, is this jennifer's group!? i totally know her. you gals are good !! love ya very much, especially the chip-toothed girl, haha ;) keep it up ladies, i'm expectin you all to perform this upcoming 08' new year !! XD.

  • i like the song... adding an electric quitar to a traditional thai/lao classic song makes it extra jumpy, it makes me want to get up and dance too... but the guy who sung this version is european... yeah, he's white!!... salavan!!

  • where can i find this song?

    does anyone know?

  • hey was this n Colorado?

  • yes, this was.

  • hey wat is this song??can you spread the song??

  • Now the want to attack Thailand and Tai and Hmong people becareful, if you see any of them, dont give mercy, just slew them before they changed your culture like what happen in my country. The Indonesian so braved to to slew them before their culture all burn out by Taliban and Al-qaeda.Only sad to see Malaysia they original cultured had been invade by those Taliban.

  • FUCK U!

  • The Hmong live up north. Nowhere near the Muslim. Majority of Muslim live in Southern Thailand where many things have been happening lately between the Buddhist Thai and Muslim down there.

  • .....

  • @zeputeh this might be a little late, but what exactly are you trying to say? slay the Hmong people? sorry about what happened to your culture but just because we're Hmong doesn't mean that we're going to do the same thing. We don't force others to take after our beliefs. You have to want to believe it to believe in it...So get it straight before you start saying stuff like that! If you don't know anything, it's best to keep your mouth shut and your opinions to yourself!

  • wow so beautiful and similar to jaipong and dangdut dance indonesia.Type Jaipong Daun Pulus Keser Bojong or JAIPONG - DAUN PULUS 16in you tube or Dangdut in youtube. Before muslim come to indonesia people quite influenced under Hinduism and Buddhism. Then come the Taliban and qaeda preaching said this things forbidden. The Malaysian has throw their culture except the Indonesia who is now enemy of Taliban and al-qaeda preserved back their culture after almost burn by those terrorist.

  • i thought it was good........

  • very nice

  • these girls did well on both the dance along with the song. they can control there legs along with the beat and dance well. i would like to recommend them.

  • which of the dancer is Salawan?

  • where is this hmong new year's at?

  • I would like to express a little of my thoughts here. I don't meant to offend any body here. The dance was great. You girls are awesome. Likewise, we Hmong always bullshits about the Laos treating our people back in the country. For some reasons, we never keep our traditions. We are Hmong Americans now, and why we always used other people traditions to replace ours? Why? You peoples have talents, why can't we be original? We are Hmongs.

  • Hmongs living abroad are mainly from Laos that's why you see the mixed tradition. Like it or not hmong and lao have a deep entangle root together. I may be lao, but I have always seen hmong as a part of me.

  • LOL my bad i thought you were living in laos, how you said much love frm laos..LOL, thats good to know

  • Hmongs living abroad are mainly from Laos that's why you see the mixed tradition. Like it or not hmong and lao have a deep entangle root together. I may be lao, but I have always seen hmong as a part of me.

  • Yes, lately there have been Hmong from China moving to United States bringing with them Chinese dances.

  • You girls did wonderful! So beautiful. I use to do the Lao/Thai traditional dances myself for years and I LOVED IT. Just gotten too old and married now. =) So girls, continue doing your great work, don't stop. Cause age and marriage will change it all. Trust me. Beautiful work though. • this is nice VDO! all dancer doing very well at Lao Dance!

  • i love the dance...and i'm not trying to be a hater but you should have dressed more traditional. a dance is about how you do it and how you present it. you look like you all were ready to go cleaning or something. again i'm not hating i'm just saying what i'm feeling. i hope you don't take it in a hateful way. ^_^

  • It's our songs too!!

  • great dance:) love the song. can you tell me who sings it, or how i can get it ? thanks.

  • its a white dude, called jonas or something like that we got ours from his kareoke album video

  • Why You Dancing to Lao Songs?

    Get Your Own!

  • that was uncalled for. there is nothing wrong with dancing to a different language of song.

on a happier note, this is one of the best traditional dances i've seen. great job ladies!

  • this is probably one of the hmong dance videos I've seen on youtube that I like! we need more girls like you guys around! Your dance was very graceful! And you guys weren't rushing to get your dance done and over with! Keep up the great work girls!
