It wasn't originally WWE's decision to release Muhammad Hassan but the channel broadcasting their shows i believe. WWE eventually came to the decision to release him.

Actually they were all from france, except conway who moved to france. Then when dupree was drafted to smackdown Conway and grenier wont he tag titles in quebec from Chris beniot and edge, what was surprising though was the fans were totally behing resistance. A few weeks later the team announced they now reside in Quebec, making sure they would always get face reactions in canada.

Hassan/Davari are the only heel stable that can come close to La Resistance. They did a great job of getting heat from the fans because of the gimmiks. Now, the heel stables are just horrid.
