Now this is what made me excited for MW2 after Cod4 and WaW, not just the multiplayer though it was part of the hype. And the thing was that MW2 was a huge step from Cod4 which Black ops and MW3 wasnt. What i feel is that Treyarch has always been copying the other games to get better sales and top that IW did.
you know WaW was like a WW2 expantion or mod for Cod4 and Black ops felt like a 60s fantsy copy of MW2. You were like this super rambo soldier in a special unit during covert operations.
@Zentrix97 Well, the MAV-V-SOG teams actually existed back then, though, to my knowledge, they no longer do (But I could be wrong). The Russians did have sleeper cells and brainwashed Americans in captivity and trying to turn them on America during the war, as well. Many of the events of Black Ops were [very] loosely based on actual things.

In my opinion, though I like Modern Warfare 3, I think it would have been best if MW3's single player storyline was actually just in MW2 (Basically, instead of ending after "Endgame", it just continues). I think having the 75th Ranger Regiment (Foley's team is a part of the 75th) and SEALs/Delta Force missions defending America would've been better, too. I doubt taking out Russia's assaulting Navy would instantly cause America to win. MW3 would've been better as following Captain Price more.
@Helghastdreamsoldier The series's plot has more holes than swiss cheese. How could Russia invade all of Europe simultaneously, and have the manpower for it after a failed invasion in the USA? How can the Russian president be willing to make a peace treaty while open war is still raging on? Did the Arabs disappear into thin air when nobody was watching? The plot is atrocious, just like the rest of the game. Its rather weak multiplayer is the only thing that keeps this franchise alive.
@Jay2097 I think that fitting it onto MW2's disc could be possible, actually. Do what Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots did - install a new section. See, MGS 4 was a VERY long game (five times longer than MW3) and had way more content, all on one disc. BUT... Every time you completed a certain section of the game, it had to install the next section. For example, the game spans in the Middle East, then Brazil, etc. So, after the Middle East, you'd install Brazil. It'd work that way on COD.
@Jay2097 Don't know if you've ever played the MGS series before, but if you have, I'd suggest picking up MGS4. But, if you've not played the previous three, don't get it yet, as you'll just be entirely confused as to what the hell is going on. Anyway, the process is actually short. The Middle East took the most time, being ten minutes. The others took less.10 minutes > 8 minutes > 4 minutes > 1 minute. I think COD could pull it off, maybe installing more stuff after "Endgame" was completed.

ahh i miss the good ol' days... When you'd get on this game, seeing that multiplayer background and the familiar menu music, and everyone was the same rank, no 10th prestige hackers, no noobs, no raging, just pure fun and it was the classic days of MW2 vs halo 3

ahh i miss the good ol' days... When you'd get on this game, seeing that multiplayer background and the familiar menu music, and everyone was the same rank, no 10th prestige hackers, no noobs, no raging, just pure fun and it was the classic days of MW2 vs halo 3
