Yeah, that is different. I also noticed this unit is numbered in the 8,000 series (8990) whereas most of the dash 9's I see are numbered in the 9,000's.
Nice!! Yeah that's #212 alright, many times his train is very long and sometimes you would mostly see autoracks, last Wednesday was a short train, with a tophat leading, a C40-8W and GP60 for his power. #204 I got a couple weeks was a good one, he had a warbonnet leading.

kings mountain is a really nice place to watch trains. i go up there every now and then but nothing ever comes

You have to go at the right times, usually around 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM to see 214 and 212. The southbound 213 runs around 3:00 PM.

Yeah, I see them a lot when i'm out railfanning, #212 I think is the only Northbound train that has these Articulated racks.
