  • Great short film, but I am going to have nightmares now D: Dolls scare the shit outta me!

  • This is strange. There is an poster on the wall written in Czech language but there is no Czech name in credits. Does anybody know about the connection?

  • kdo z česka si všimnul česky psaného plakátu palec hore!

  • That's just so cute and beautifully created ! Oh, that is just a great style and the animation of Pixar is always so extraordinary ! The fairytail is exceptionnal and nice ! Love it ! I admire this !

    C'est juste incroyablement bien fait ; j'admire !

  • this video is so creepy to me, my name is alma (in real life) I have blonde hair a gap in my teeth i wear clothes like that, i have hazel eyes, and i have the same handwriting as her, CREEPY! I'm afraid of doll selling stores now, lol

  • Muito lindo, meigo e curioso!

  • The really happy music kills the entire mood, unless it was trying to be cute and funny

  • I saw this for the first time at the Barbican weekender. Totally brilliant and imaginative.

  • Totally c-reeeeeepy!

  • Nao entendi o fim... ''/ rs

  • all these different doll designs are awesome and inspiring! I loved the girl in green with the umbrella. Great respect for Rodrigo Blaas who pulled this off in his spare time! I can't wait for the feature length Alma. This just seems perfect for del Toro.

  • if i saw a creepy doll appear of me in the shop window, id run away screaming :L

  • C'est juste excellent !!!

  • Das ist Geil!

  • A doll consumes a child soul, queue charming cafe music. Doot doo dee dee, business as usual.

  • G E N I A L E!

  • Great animation and story!!

  • Oooooooooookay, that was weird.

  • Somehow, I doubt that the DreamWorks animated film will have the same ending.

  • This is a pure fairy tale. People sometimes forget that Hansel and Gretell are both eaten alive. Some choose to remember these fairy stories differently and tack on a 'happy' ending. That's just false reassurance. The darkness and horror of the climax is what made them stick in the first place.

  • @copaceticetal Damn, I don't remember that at all. Guess I got the gay ending. =(

  • @copaceticetal

Hansel and Gretel aren't eaten alive, they shove the witch in the oven where she slowly burns to death. xB

Still not a very happy fairy tale, but they did escape...

Regardless, loved this video; if Guillermo del Toro is making a film version I'll definitely be there, I think only he could do this proper justice~ <3

  • This is amazing! Bravo, Mr. Rodrigo Blaas, bravo!
