Well.... I'd nail a bunch of midgets to a unicorn with a jetpack. Fly to Toronto and eat a baby Blue Jay's beak. Eat 12 1/2 bowls of Lucky Charms with the marshmellows picked out and thrown into a separate bowl. Then, I'd fly back home and kill goats nearest to my home and blame it on the Chupacabras. "Kill myself". Write a suicide note of what I've done and send it to Johnny Quest.

Those who want to Hail Satan need to know a little more about him. He knows God is real. He gets to go talk with Him and in the story of Jobe he was talking to God telling him if Jobe wasn't so blessed he would curse Him. God let him have his way and everything satan did to Jobe he still couldn't get him to curse God. Jobe was bless so much more than he ever had for passing the test . So if you are going to Hail satan at least know that satan knows more than you do! You are so sad.
It wasn't until I started researching the bible and educating myself on its sources that I realized how bogus it is.
I don't bash people who have an opinion about something, but I do reserve the right to bash people who are clearly brainwashed.
How to direct criticism toward the brainwashed? Easy! They are the loud and offended ones by me holding a different position than they themselves. They are the ones who would, if they could, torture, and murder those who believe otherwise. Hail Satan!
Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
YOUR COMMENT DOES NOT SURPRISE ME! U GIVE GLORY TO YOUR SLAVEMASTER!
now who the hell was jesus and to whom he give his ass. isn't he is a gay ??? whoever he is, FUCK HIM... and i embrace to islam, i accept holy quran and all the muslims. i accept Allah (God) and i m agree with and with messengers. FUCK U ALL !!!!!!!!
i Recommend that if you are going to speak about Jesus in that capacity that you need to BE EDUCATED first.ITS NOT WORTH ARGUING WITH SOMEONE WHO IS NOT EDUCATED enough to acknowledge Jesus. Before making comments like that please study out the BIBLE and other history books so you can come with an educated argument.
Jesus said that "the world" will hate those who belong to Him - YET - those running for president are popular with the American public who're also very 'worldly'. True Christian candidates would get very few votes because "the worldly" would hate them for not belonging to their world. Presedential candidates are worldly people who're seriously into worldly things. Jesus said that the world will love it's own. Worldliness and true Christianity doesn't mix - so, can candidates be true Christians?
carnagedmeat It's a valid question. Right to choosers want the "right" for every woman, except their own mothers! (They know its too late to be retro-active, so they're "saved".)
*sigh*, yes it is a valid question, but then again so is "what is a hat?" if your in kindergarten. davey boy was stating the FACT that religiously driven people are more likely to do bias things whilst in office, like they have sooo many times in the past. But in retrospect though, right to choosers, like my self, and, uhh, dameiken also have the right to choose whether or not to be complete and total douche packers.
god damn, you have ADD. good for you, you dont believe in god. that does not make you smart, as most atheists would have you believe because there is just as much evidence in there being no god then there being a god. finally, ask a question, dont babble on and on, telling us your opionion in a loaded 'question' only to end your video with no question asked at all. you SUCK!! fuuuuck.
The troubling point for me is how in the world does such a profound vocabulary find its way to someone as ignorant as you? Educate yourself before posting anymore of your intellectual flatulence please.
Never mind the fact that this is a book that took shape over the epochs via myriad interpretations and translations at the hands of political leaders and their salaried ideologues who infused it with established pagan mythologies in order to control the barbarians. God wrote the book because the book says that God wrote the book.
Thou shall not kill. Judge not lest yee be judged. Jesus on the death penalty, after being sentenced to death by his government, "I will pick up this cross and die for your sins" BUT "Obey the government, for God is the one who has put it there. There is no government anywhere that God has not placed in power.." BUT WE are a Governement of the People, WE make the laws. As Governor/Preacher you have a say, your say was to kill!
I'm writing now before your video concludes because I hope you're not going to bad mouth "the only Son of God. Are you? Anyway I'm kind of fascinated with your "shtick" and I'm getting to know you better. In fact you don't mind if I rip you off a bit, do you? It's a form of flattery you know. Ah, you didn't bad rap Christ. There is hope for you my son.
To be intellectually honest, you must admit that athiest (aka anti-religious) governments (USSR, Communist China, Vietnam, North Korea) are committing today the crimes against humanity Inquisitors did who were 1. Hundreds of years ago, 2. Europeans, not Americans, 3. Catholics, not Baptists (they would have kill then Baptists). This is kind of like arguing against a Rabbi, blaming him for the holocaust.
moral and intellectual? about as much as any belief. i think the real problum is that people cant look past stupid diffrences and cant take other peoples feelings into account when making decisions. all in all, PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS HUCKABEE!!!
Think about the Free Speech Movement in Berkeley in the early 60's. Every single student organization, regardless of ideology, united under this banner to change unfair university policies. They won from their unity. Leftists united with Students for Goldwater. These increasingly common religious themes are watering down a potentially powerful movement. I'm not approaching this as the member of any particular church, by the way. But I do know how the rich run a successful plantation.
But, of course, they aren't all violent, and such atrocities are the exception. That's the neat trick of the selective, unmoving camera. They show you the image they want, and the court of public opinion sways the way the corporate wind is blowing. I know from reading Churchill's History of the English Speaking Peoples, that wars and killing occur over property and money, and that political leaders use religion for political expediency to manipulate the malleable masses.
I do know that Hasidic Jews, strictly religious people, are opposed to Israeli policies. Catholic Workers are another group that comes to mind, laying their lives on the line in protests. So...it's tricky. We're spoon fed TV religious boobs and pedophile priests the same way we're fed the image of the angry Muslim, which is really a way to soften the reaction to indiscriminate bombing. If we kill innocent people, it'll be ok because, you know, "those people are all violent".
I think media tells us about religion to distract us from Corporatism. It's just another wedge issue. Now, religious and nonreligious are less likely to unite in the cause for peace, and that is one big MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. They tell us, for example, that suicide bombers are zealots. They don't tell us about living conditions brought on by sanctions imposed by mighty nations like ours, and the possible psychological effects of such things.
I rather sit next to the devil in hell if it allows me to make my bf happy by touching his penis and make him wiser by questioning his navigational skills as well as giving him knowledge of the world of the living. :P Plus I get to stay the fuck away from you religious nut jobs who want to impose your shitty lives on everyone else.
On top of all of that, please stop waking me up at 4 in the fucking morning to tell me that Jesus loves me. If Jesus wanted me to know that I think he would just popped right in front of my bed and scare the shit out of me to tell me that himself. Also stop holy watering my mail box you fucking whores.
No, I have plenty of poeple to answer to, myself for instance, my family, my friends etc. etc. not some daddy in the sky who will either reward me for "good" behavior or harm me with a one way ticket to hell. Grow up and accept responsibility for your own fate.
Hence the Inquisitions and the help the Vatican gave the Nazis during the holocaust and stating that women do not have souls. they shed a lot of blood for being such a "good and honorable" belief system. Bollocks
thats right anthonybsts, I live to bring honor to myself the world and the human species who for the most part are a rather ratty bunch. I don't need a "daddy" to tell me how to behave, I am an adult, thank you. If you need a daddy...good for you.
You dont need a daddy to tell you how to behave, do you? I assume that means that you never make a mistake, make all the right choices, and have only made the world you live on 100% better? Wow, I MUST know your secrets.
No, I make mistakes, I try to make the right choices and I do what I can to make the world a better place. Why do religious people seem to assume that unless you have an authority figure to answer to you are going to be a hedonist nut case, that you can't be your own moral agent?
Becuase being your own moral agent will often lead you to do things that, honestly, arnt very moral. People will often tell themselves that "it really won't matter" or "what they dont know wont hurt them", or other things that will twist and distort what right. Isn't it just so much better to have the law on whats right and wrong laid out right in front of you, so that there is no questioning it?
Sam Harris is an ego-centered belief-bashing nut who thinks that the world's 1.5 BILLION Muslims are basically potential terrorists. I wouldn't invoke his name, Davis Fleetwood, unless you want to create more of the kind of intolerance and division that Sam Harris has.
anthonybsts: you are proving exactly what I said "you will know the tree by its fruit." And is it not hypocritical to say do as I say not as I do. If you can't live up to the standards you have no right to preach them to anyone. You really don't understand the verse I quoted from the Bible. Your actions reveal what you really believe and if your actions are not congruous with what you say you believe that sir is hypocritical. It really is very simple.
People do believe in God for many reasons and you can only speak for yourself, so now I know you don't fear going to Hell, but that is you. Just because you are a Christian does not make Christianity not a religion, it is most certainly a religion that believes in the fables found in the Bible like many others and is no better than any other religion. Your arrogances is sinning and that is somewhere in the Bible, isn't it? Hypocrisy to the max is all I see in your post
The Bible says you will know the tree by its fruit so just look at the lack of concern and action from religions around the world on real world issues such as environmental degradation. A majority of Christian's contribute to the problem without regret as they believe it is God's will and it cannot be stopped because the end times are upon us. It takes emotional maturity to accept the things we don't know instead of turning to a fable to explain what currently is unexplainable
anthonybsts You do it so you don't go to hell, and that is selfcenteredness like exist nowhere else. And all religions are the same however you would like to think yours exclusive. Another selfserving thing about religion. It is really sick.
anthonybsts It' like you think atheists don't understand how real God is to you, but that does not make him real. Believers feel the presents of God and that is why they believe, but does that make him real. God is emotionally real to believers; however, emotional maturity is what is missing in the believers. They need the ability to know what part their emotions and mind play in their belief. I know as I once believed in God, Santa clause and the tooth fairy. But then I grew up emotionally.
anthonybsts You can explain things like DNA using the physical laws that exist on out planet. So how does that interpreted as evidence of his creation. A beautiful sunset is much better proof and yet it can be explained by the motion of heavenly bodies rotating around each other. Either you believe using leaps in logic (faith) or you don't. Anyone can make up connections to God especially if that believe, shit I heard people can see Jesus in burnt toast but is that evidence?
anthonybsts: Everything can be represented mathematical even randomness can be mathematical. Just because something can be represented mathematically proves nothing as far as the existence of a deity, nor can it prove the validity of a given religion. And anyone who tries to make the connection is stretching to say the least. Why does it matter in the first place everyone knows you have to have faith to believe and no arithmetic can substitute faith. You need faith to believe not math.
ANTHONY: The mathematical structure of DNA is proof of a creator? REally???? Explain please. To a child, a dollar under her pillow is PROOF that the Tooth FAIRY exists..
I'm going to agree with Davis here that the mathematical structure of DNA is not PROOF that a creator exists -- however "proof," as with any logical argument, is determined based on a set of givens. Evolutionists take as a given that the universe works mechanically, with forces constantly in motion. Proponents of intelligent design operate on the given that everything happens for a reason... everything has a purpose.
Google “Are Evangelical Christians Warmongers” by Pastor Chuck Baldwin about Israel and America’s undeclared wars and how the government uses fear to manipulate Americans.
anthonybsts: A belief is a belief is a belief -- whether it's religious or not.
Also, I love your holier than thou attitude -- it's so irrational and not very humble. Christians are best!
"We do the things we do strictly and soley to honor GOD because we love him.":
Tell that to: Jim and Tammi Faye Bakker, Jimmy Swaggart, and the like. You are deluded, irrational, and need a healthy dose of Truth, and a complete belief system overhaul. Good luck!
"Santa Claus didn't create children.... God did create men. your argument is retarded.":
No you're "argument" is retarded. I didn't say Santa Claus created children. You need to read the text more carefully. Therefore, your argument totally sucks and is without any basis. You just like to complain. Extremely irrational.
"God did create men":
When you can irrefutably and empirically prove that, please let us all know.
Anthonybsts: Get a grip on reality, all the religions you named are the same at their essence. All you do when you post things like Christianity is the only true religion is exhibit you elitist attitude as a Christian and that fuels hate like it does when all the other religions say the same thing. You make most religious people look stupid when you talk like that when really you are the only stupid one not the rest of those who believe in God.
You have your opinions. I am a Christian and feel they should teach both aspects of Creationism and biblical history and not try to eliminate one over the other and let families take that element and opportunity to help their children make educated choices home and renew family discussion. This is true freedom, freedom of agency. We can agree to disagree with respect to personal beliefs.
"The Huck" also censors all questions and facts people have that do not fit his agenda. Try having one of your hard hitting questions or facts placed on his or warman Dunkin Hunters website. If you ask is the Iraq mess really worth 1/2 Trillion dollars and 2,400 American lives? These questions get censored and never posted.
Religion was the antecedent to science, get over it. Evolve & adapt. If you are religious, you have a poorly constructed and demonstrably faulty belief system and world view that is causing problems all over the world. Rationality and the natural wins, not irrationality and the supernatural. Science demonstrates and empirically proves results. Religion can not and has not. The burden of proof is upon religion's back to PROVE God's existence. It's failed to do so. And that IS the Truth.
Firstly, just because you don't have a belief of any sort, gives you no right to say that all the do have a "poorly constructed and demonstrably faulty belief system", if I have quoted you correctly.
Secondly, Anthony made one of the best points I've seen on YouTube. What do Atheists live to honour? Themselves. That cant be very good for society, a bunch of self-serving people who only care about something if it helps them. Now, I'm not saying all Atheists are this way, and I'm not saying that all Christians are great people who will always do the right thing, but think about it: If you live your life trying to better only yourself, what kind of choices are you most likely to make?
And thirdly, life ITSELF is proof of the existence of God. Do you really think that some random imbalance of chemicals and gasses could create an explosion, resulting in the perfect equilibrium of 9 planets perfectly revolving around a sphere of fire? Think about this for a second: If the earth's orbit were to get just a few degrees closer to the sun, we would shrivel like raisons and die. If it were a few degrees farther, we would freeze.
And if you STILL believe me, try it for yourself, on a smaller scale. Put a bunch of wires, circuit boards, and processors into a box. Shake it all up, and see how long it takes you to get a perfectly assembled computer. Won't happen.
1) You're displaying a logical fallacy here. You imply that "an intelligence (a creator (god)) " must have put those pieces together -- but once it is actually put together -- after the fact --you cannot identify, much less prove, what the creative process was -- whether it was natural or supernatural (intelligent or not).. So you fictionally create an answer to your own question and attempt to claim proof of the existence of god.
2) It's not only a circular attempt at proof, but it's a blatant leap of logic. It's unknown. If it's unknown, then the onus is upon you (and your religion) to demonstrate the creative process and provide credible evidence for it. But as most atheists know that what religion attempts to do in the modern day is to try to exploit, misrepresent, and twist science in their desperate attempts to prove the existence of god. Religious doctrine is in complete fear of science. Just ask Galileo.
fortunne: Just like those miracles the religious believe happen. All those circuit boards and processor need is a human to put them together, but I guess that is too hard for the religious to comprehend. Just like the belief in miracles, won't happen. You make me laugh and that is a good thing as I like to laugh. Thak you.
1) Sorry, your proof fails miserably and is positively ridiculous. The fact the life exists, does not in any way logically imply, that a supernatural being exists. You're going to have to do a lot better than that to prove the existence of god(s). Just to show you how logically asinine that assertion is, we'll convert it into a hypothetical syllogism and create an analogy:
2) "Life ITSELF is proof of the existence of God" In other words, If life exists, then god exists.
"Children themselves are proof of the existence of Santa Claus." In other words if children exist, then Santa Claus exists.
I'll leave it to you to prove the result as ambiguous (your assertion is illogical and produces absurdity). Isn't logic wonderful? It really cuts out all the bullshit.
fortunne: Wow your knowledge of scientific facts amaze me. But what you need to learn is statistical math. Given the millions of years over which life developed the odds are in favor of what you call random imbalance of chemicals and gasses creating life. We humans are no better then the animals and the humans who believe in God are not better then the humans who don't. Religious people only think they are better and in their minds that makes it real but it really in not.
1) You make a lot of erroneous assumptions. Atheists honor & celebrate rationality & logic, not irrationality & illogic. They deny the supernatural & the un-provable until it can be proved & hence, known for a fact, to exist. There is; and there is not; and that is all. In other words, the Universe consists of what exists and what does not exist, what is known and what is unknown. And look who's calling the kettle black? What does religion promote? A self-serving attitude and behavior.
2) What is the ultimate goal of religion? Eternal personal salvation, right? You get 72 virgins, nirvana, heaven, the "after"-life if you play the religious game according to its rules right? If you believe the doctrine, yes? Talk about self-serving. You hypocrite! You're exploited and incredibly indoctrinated.
3) Lastly, your own question begs YOUR own answer. An atheistic view of the world dictates ethical and moral choices be made rationally and logically and are not subject to superstition or inane (or even insane) "beliefs". So, in conclusion, Anthony made one of the lamest points that I've seen on YouTube, to date.
fortunne: Atheists are not worse then believers in God when it comes to contributing to the good in society. Just because the religious need something to believe in to keep them from being evil people doesn't mean it makes them better people.
Good choices, based on being authentic to who I really am, not what someone else thinks I should be. I honor the diversity of all life and honor it as well. Something Christians don't do.
1) I didn't say I don't have beliefs. You're putting words in my mouth. Also, I have every right to say whatever I would like to say, no matter how much it might potentially offend you or anyone else. What I said -- if you read between the lines -- is that the ideal for any thinking and fully-functional human being to strive for is a COHERENT, CONSISTENT, and INTEGRATED SYSTEM of related beliefs. That system is empirically-based (based on the tenets of Science).
2) Each and every belief contained in a well-designed belief system is inserted, deleted, or modified into the structure according to the rules of logic (rational thought) to maintain the consistency and integrity of that coherent system. This is NOT the approach or system of theology which instead prescribes and demands that beliefs will be derived from the unobservable, un-measurable, and un-provable (the magical, supernatural, and superstitious realms) and irrationally maintained.
3) A well-structured and coherent system in nature is demonstrated by the logical consistency of its parts with respect to its whole structure and by the design of the structure itself. If the structure contains faulty component(s), then the consistency and integrity of that system is violated. If the structure itself is faulty, by virtue of its component parts or by its architectural design, then the entire structure suffers a lack of integrity, which means it's prone to failure.
fORTUNNE: My responses to your chain of four comments are directly above. They're organized into four blocks corresponding to each one of your comments. They should be read in blocks from bottom to top which correspond with each of your comments appearing from top to bottom order above. That's the way YouTube organized them, not me.
You say that being religious makes me self serving ("What is the ultimate goal of religion? Eternal personal salvation, right? You get 72 virgins, nirvana, heaven, the "after"-life if you play the religious game according to its rules right?")
First off, your example is of Hinduism or Islam, or one of "those" religions (I use that word since I dont know much of religions of that area). However, being a Christian, my "life-purpose" is not to glorify myself, but to glorify the one who made me. I dont believe in God becuase I am afraid of science, or becuase I only want to go to heaven. I believe in God becuase that is what I believe in. I jsut cant believe that this was all an accident.
Secondly, I have a question to ask you. How can you prove your theory? Yes, we know that there was this big bang, but whos to say that a supirior being played no part in that? If its all just a mixture of gasses floating around in the right place at the right time, where did they come from then? Who made those? You seem to like science, so you should know that matter cannot be created nor distroyed, so how did it all get here?
the pressence of a question (ie- how did it all get here) does NOT prove that GOD exists. People who BELIEVE in GOD are making the outragous claim. The burden of proof is on YOU- not me. peace, Davis
Well, I CAN believe that it was all an accident and have no problem with that whatsoever. It's part of the unknown that may, someday, become a known -- which I can wait for & accept as not knowing. I can also easily accept that I may never know. If you wish to personalize your Universe by inventing an imaginary friend and to delude yourself into thinking that you have all the cosmological answers, go right ahead -- no one is stopping you. Just keep it to yourself & no one will bother you.
I didn't mention any theory at all -- but YOU implied a supernatural explanation, not a natural one (Creationism / "Intelligent Design"). My argument wasn't about science or the creation of the Universe. it was about atheism & the false claims & specious arguments regarding atheism & the existence of god(s) that you made in your comments above. The onus is totally upon religion, not science, to demonstrate the existence of THEIR god(s). I'm not here to discuss "how it all got here".
However, in the same way that I cannot give solid 100% proof that there is a god (hence the term belief), you cannot give 100% solid proof that there is NOT a god, or can you? I have not invented an "imaginary friend" as you claim I have, nor do I think I have all the answers to everything. I understand that I dont know things like how the soul works. I also realize that the presence of a question does not prove that God exists, but the answer to that question just might.
As for the topic of separation of church and state (I think that's what this video is about, I've gotten so side-tracked by our little debate :P), I believe that the government should not and cannot tell people what to believe, obviously, its in the Bill of Rights, or something like that. I also do not believe that kids should not be taught what to believe in schools (unless its a religious school). Everyone has a right to believe what they want, I just ask that people stay open-minded.
Why, because no credible evidence has been given (proof) to show that he DOES EXIST and all evidence that would irrefutably "prove" his existence (such as a house at the North Pole, elves, Rudolph, etc.) has never been produced or is any way credible. But kids see those presents under the tree now don't they? They must have gotten there "somehow". Maybe "someone" put them there?
"..but the answer to that question just might."
The question you're asking will not yield a proof.
I agree that open-mindedness is a good thing - but being careful, mindful, & skeptical while processing all the perceptual input is a very critical component of the process of accepting the input as storable, or alternatively, rejecting it & discarding it. Constantly reviewing the beliefs and assumptions that you hold -- i.e. questioning your beliefs, especially your core beliefs -- is also critical to properly maintain your belief system -- which is, afterall, the home for your thoughts.
I'm growing weary of this going back and forth with you on the rules and principles of logic. I've studied formal and symbolic logic for many years and I'm extremely adept at its proper use. It's glaringly obvious that you have not and I'm not here to teach you, nor do I desire to without ample compensation.
If you wish to learn, then please go do so. You also apparently have never studied the myriad of Ontological arguments that philosophy has to offer written over the centuries that come to the same conclusion as I have stated above. Go do all of that first, and then come back and we'll talk.
Oh and by the way, while Im thinking about it, no, I havnt studied any Ontological arguments at all, honestly, I dont even know what the word means. Im only 16, so I havnt really had much exposure to that stuff. However, if you want to start a little 1 on 1 lesson, fell free, Ill listen to every word you have to say (not that it will chancge what I think).
I guess you kind of forgot about the atheists who are the greatest murderers of all time. Ever hear of Pol Pot, Stalin and Mao? They were Atheists who outlawed religion and went on to murder tens of millions of their own people (not in the name of any god or religion).
It's amazing the fools who come out of the woodwork when technology gives every jackass out there an opportunity to be heard.
Clammypollack: You may as well be a politician the way you try to divert the subject away from what you don't like by saying the other guys are worse. The thing about what you are saying is that Atheists don't claim to be good like the religious do when they kill. Way to show off your jackassness with the technology God gave to you. Keep up the good work you have just helped to make point often overlooked about the religious vs atheists. You make religious people look bad.
1. True Christians do not claim to be good. They know they are sinners just like everyone else.
2. I will take the failure to respond to the facts I asserted about Atheists being the greatest murderers of all time as an acknowledgement of their truth. They are historical fact. Therefore you cannot have an answer. So, you go elsewhere. Good strategy....move away from your weakness (facts). Religious folks don't care if they look bad to you. You are not who they concentrate on.
Clammypollack You are right about religious people not caring what others think as that is part of the selfishness that they concentrate on. They only do things cause of the promised prizes and for no other reason. It is an imposed morality. It is all very selfish so why don't the religious who don't care what others think leave the others alone. I agree with Davis religion has cause more death and suffering than anything else on the planet and continues today with Bush's war on Islam for oil
You are on Bro..give us the historical facts regarding atheists being the greatest murderers of all time. the God of the Hebrew bible was rather blood thirsty.
a neccesity? no, but peaple all over the world think this country is controlled by religeous nutjobs, and in a way it is, but i sure as hell dont want them proven right by that asshole of a senater. evolution dident happen? c'mon on you idiot!
I don't believe in the whole 'Atheism is a necessity' statement, I believe in God (Not the white bearded sort who unjustifiably smites minority groups) and am scientifically literate. I even tutor.
I think in many cases, atheism is just a refusal of all things spiritual, because some pig-headed catholic church group biased and perverted the idea of a God for you forever on.
Just to clarify: Davis, I wish you well on your 'View' pursuit, honestly. My main reservation, which is mine alone, is that I cannot picture someone of your intellect and eccentric spirit among...them. Perhaps you could transform the show, though. In any case, good luck !
-Why dont I ever get to use these words with politicians!
Evolution was accepted by the scientific community 150 years ago, and its sad that there are people around to day who willfully blinker themselves to scientific understanding in favor of bronze age myths.
Confusion reigns. Sorry, powerplusgood. I was simply pointing out that I have only found one channel here that does not delete comments or block users, ever. That's just the way it works here.
Nevermind, I just got that impression from the fact that Hillary and Huckabee censor. Having just checked Obama, Dodd, and Romney, I found that not all of the candidates censor.
Censoring comments indecates you don't want people to give you their opinion you only want to show opinions that reflect your own and is a clear indication you are not asking a legitimate question. This will spread throught the YouTube community and you will be brandit as a manipulator of the medium and most likely a manipulator of the people and you are not to be trusted.
I have yet to find a YouTube channel that does not censor or block. Not ONE. Except for, perhaps, Pat Cordell's channel. This is not the oasis of free speech it purports to be.
I don't kow if Davis deletes, but he certainly allows dissenters to express opinions.
POWER PLUS- I NEVER censor comments on my videos. NEVER. Dissent welcome. Invited, even. If it sometimes takes a moment to show up on your page, that is a utube "replication" issue- not mine. all of my video settings are set to AUTOMATICALLY post text AND video comments without my approval. that is- many people will get to read them before i do!
Davis, is this for real? Could you honestly deal with the vapid spewings of those three batty women to an almost-exclusively, not-exactly-politically-passionate-or-literate audience?
Rosie's antics garner them more attention on ET than they do on their own show. If you are serious, get ready for expressing 'views' on some pretty vapid stuff, like Lindsey Lohan's latest coke binge, and to gush over the 'stud' celebs that pop by for visits.
I think that having moral imperatives that all people be aetheist is just as hypocritical and intolerant as Bush's imperative to spread democracy (and christianity.) This anti-christian/ religion rhetoric sounds very similar to anti-muslim rhetoric.
-But keep up the good job. Long live free speech! I'm for Kucinich!
If we based all our beliefs on evidence and the actions people take we would most definitely have a better world. A world were people are not trained to have blind faith from birth that many transfer to their politics which allows them to support illegal wars, torture, and uninhibited corruption. We should train our children to pay attention to the actions of our politicians, instead of accepting the words that are so easy for them to speak in an effort manipulate but are rarely honored.
I made a huge mistake in my comment to you earlier. Davis (along with Pat, possibly) is the ONLY interesting channel-owner on YouTube who DOES NOT DELETE. I am a big supporter, was in a bad mood and made a shitty comment, and expected it to be deleted. Fully. But it wasn't.
Thank you, Davis, for practicing what you preach, unlike the vast majority, and please forgive my (I'll admit it)PMS woe-is-me fest. That cubic guy just wore me down.
I agree with you. I was raised in an atheist/ agnostic home and have not been spoon-fed someone else's beliefs from birth, nor do I choose to spoon-feed my own children my beliefs. I happen to believe that the inner experiences I have are valid and constitute sufficient evidence regarding my own personal beliefs; I am a firm believer in science regarding the material world as well. Regarding this topic, I like that pro-choice slogan, "If you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one."
religion is just another tool used by the our leaders to get us to do what we normally wouldn't do. it is used to seperate us from them. So it makes them less than or the evil ones. It is used as a device to devide us to opposing sides. So our leaders can use us to do they're biding.religion is not bad just the people using it to do bad things. the word of God gets corrupted by these people for that reason.
Really? I must say I'm disappointed with your logic in this one. Wars have never been about religion. Never. Religion has indeed been used to rally the masses, but so has race, nationality, and political ideology. Even the crusades weren't about religion. It always comes down to land and resources. The idea that the world would be a utopia if religion didn't exist is a rather ignorant stance. Do you really think we're fighting over religion right now, or do you just have a chip on your shoulder?
LOL...omg, the OT is a "Real Estate Deed" thats great, I can't wait to pull that one on my students....maybe not. Great questions, lets see what the Baptist Minister has to say, does he have the cajones to answer. Or is he too scared?
Isn't secular communism responsible for more deaths than religion? They both can be abused. Sometimes religion can provide a good morale compass, and other times, radical religious ideology can be very destructive.
Although I wouldn't endorse a Baptist understanding of faith, I have to comment on the myth stated in this video blog that religion is responsible for wars. Factually, it has been the atheistic ideological governments which have the most blood on their hands.
I think the questioning here is quite pertinent to his campaign. I hope you're not too caught up in any need to defend your statements here, because you don't really need to.
I myself am surprised that a Professional Baptist Minister would push for a National Sales Tax, knowing full well how NEGATIVELY it would affect the Churches he once presided over in Arkansas.
This is a sincere question. Clearly, I had very negative experiences in the Arab World that scarred me forever. I just have to know this: when Muslims refer to Allah or Mohammed, the parenthetical phrase (peace be upon him) always follows. What exactly does that mean? Aren't they assumed to be in a state of permanent peace? Do humans have the power to disrupt their peace?

Eat 12 1/2 bowls of Lucky Charms with the marshmellows picked out and thrown into a separate bowl. Then, I'd fly back home and kill goats nearest to my home and blame it on the Chupacabras.

Hail Satan!

It's all about Divide & Conquer. Read some of the bickering comments below mine to see a quick primer in such things.
gutenberggalaxy 4 years ago
Think about the Free Speech Movement in Berkeley in the early 60's. Every single student organization, regardless of ideology, united under this banner to change unfair university policies. They won from their unity. Leftists united with Students for Goldwater. These increasingly common religious themes are watering down a potentially powerful movement. I'm not approaching this as the member of any particular church, by the way. But I do know how the rich run a successful plantation.
gutenberggalaxy 4 years ago
But, of course, they aren't all violent, and such atrocities are the exception. That's the neat trick of the selective, unmoving camera. They show you the image they want, and the court of public opinion sways the way the corporate wind is blowing. I know from reading Churchill's History of the English Speaking Peoples, that wars and killing occur over property and money, and that political leaders use religion for political expediency to manipulate the malleable masses.
gutenberggalaxy 4 years ago
I do know that Hasidic Jews, strictly religious people, are opposed to Israeli policies. Catholic Workers are another group that comes to mind, laying their lives on the line in protests. So...it's tricky. We're spoon fed TV religious boobs and pedophile priests the same way we're fed the image of the angry Muslim, which is really a way to soften the reaction to indiscriminate bombing. If we kill innocent people, it'll be ok because, you know, "those people are all violent".
gutenberggalaxy 4 years ago
I think media tells us about religion to distract us from Corporatism. It's just another wedge issue. Now, religious and nonreligious are less likely to unite in the cause for peace, and that is one big MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. They tell us, for example, that suicide bombers are zealots. They don't tell us about living conditions brought on by sanctions imposed by mighty nations like ours, and the possible psychological effects of such things.

No, I make mistakes, I try to make the right choices and I do what I can to make the world a better place. Why do religious people seem to assume that unless you have an authority figure to answer to you are going to be a hedonist nut case, that you can't be your own moral agent?
maggothon 4 years ago
Becuase being your own moral agent will often lead you to do things that, honestly, arnt very moral. Isn't it just so much better to have the law on whats right and wrong laid out right in front of you, so that there is no questioning it?

Your actions reveal what you really believe and if your actions are not congruous with what you say you believe that sir is hypocritical. It really is very simple.
powerplusgood 4 years ago
People do believe in God for many reasons and you can only speak for yourself, so now I know you don't fear going to Hell, but that is you. Just because you are a Christian does not make Christianity not a religion, it is most certainly a religion that believes in the fables found in the Bible like many others and is no better than any other religion. Your arrogances is sinning and that is somewhere in the Bible, isn't it? Hypocrisy to the max is all I see in your post
powerplusgood 4 years ago
The Bible says you will know the tree by its fruit so just look at the lack of concern and action from religions around the world on real world issues such as environmental degradation. A majority of Christian's contribute to the problem without regret as they believe it is God's will and it cannot be stopped because the end times are upon us. It takes emotional maturity to accept the things we don't know instead of turning to a fable to explain what currently is unexplainable
powerplusgood 4 years ago
anthonybsts You do it so you don't go to hell, and that is selfcenteredness like exist nowhere else. And all religions are the same however you would like to think yours exclusive. Another selfserving thing about religion. It is really sick.
powerplusgood 4 years ago
anthonybsts It' like you think atheists don't understand how real God is to you, but that does not make him real.

Anyone can make up connections to God especially if that believe, shit I heard people can see Jesus in burnt toast but is that evidence?
powerplusgood 4 years ago
anthonybsts: Everything can be represented mathematical even randomness can be mathematical. You need faith to believe not math.

davisfleetwood 4 years ago 4
I'm going to agree with Davis here that the mathematical structure of DNA is not PROOF that a creator exists -- however "proof," as with any logical argument, is determined based on a set of givens. Evolutionists take as a given that the universe works mechanically, with forces constantly in motion. Proponents of intelligent design operate on the given that everything happens for a reason... everything has a purpose.

KobyBrandt 4 years ago
Let me point a few things out:
Firstly, just because you don't have a belief of any sort, gives you no right to say that all the do have a "poorly constructed and demonstrably faulty belief system", if I have quoted you correctly.
fortunne 4 years ago
Secondly, Anthony made one of the best points I've seen on YouTube. What do Atheists live to honour? Themselves. That cant be very good for society, a bunch of self-serving people who only care about something if it helps them. Now, I'm not saying all Atheists are this way, and I'm not saying that all Christians are great people who will always do the right thing, but think about it: If you live your life trying to better only yourself, what kind of choices are you most likely to make?
fortunne 4 years ago
And thirdly, life ITSELF is proof of the existence of God. Do you really think that some random imbalance of chemicals and gasses could create an explosion, resulting in the perfect equilibrium of 9 planets perfectly revolving around a sphere of fire? Think about this for a second: If the earth's orbit were to get just a few degrees closer to the sun, we would shrivel like raisons and die. If it were a few degrees farther, we would freeze.
fortunne 4 years ago
And if you STILL believe me, try it for yourself, on a smaller scale. Put a bunch of wires, circuit boards, and processors into a box. Shake it all up, and see how long it takes you to get a perfectly assembled computer. Won't happen.
fortunne 4 years ago
Wires, circuit boards and processors ?
Looks like you and I have two different interpretations for life.
j0eg0d 4 years ago
MAYBE we should put a big ball of light into a box, SHAKE IT UP and then wait for LIFE to appear. The Bible said it took a few days.
j0eg0d 4 years ago
1) You're displaying a logical fallacy here. You imply that "an intelligence (a creator (god)) " must have put those pieces together -- but once it is actually put together -- after the fact --you cannot identify, much less prove, what the creative process was -- whether it was natural or supernatural (intelligent or not).. So you fictionally create an answer to your own question and attempt to claim proof of the existence of god.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
2) It's not only a circular attempt at proof, but it's a blatant leap of logic. It's unknown. If it's unknown, then the onus is upon you (and your religion) to demonstrate the creative process and provide credible evidence for it. But as most atheists know that what religion attempts to do in the modern day is to try to exploit, misrepresent, and twist science in their desperate attempts to prove the existence of god. Religious doctrine is in complete fear of science. Just ask Galileo.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
fortunne: Just like those miracles the religious believe happen. All those circuit boards and processor need is a human to put them together, but I guess that is too hard for the religious to comprehend. Just like the belief in miracles, won't happen. You make me laugh and that is a good thing as I like to laugh. Thak you.
powerplusgood 4 years ago
1) Sorry, your proof fails miserably and is positively ridiculous. The fact the life exists, does not in any way logically imply, that a supernatural being exists. You're going to have to do a lot better than that to prove the existence of god(s). Just to show you how logically asinine that assertion is, we'll convert it into a hypothetical syllogism and create an analogy:
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
2) "Life ITSELF is proof of the existence of God" In other words, If life exists, then god exists.
"Children themselves are proof of the existence of Santa Claus." In other words if children exist, then Santa Claus exists.
I'll leave it to you to prove the result as ambiguous (your assertion is illogical and produces absurdity). Isn't logic wonderful? It really cuts out all the bullshit.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
fortunne: Wow your knowledge of scientific facts amaze me.

KobyBrandt 4 years ago
2) What is the ultimate goal of religion? Eternal personal salvation, right? You get 72 virgins, nirvana, heaven, the "after"-life if you play the religious game according to its rules right? If you believe the doctrine, yes? Talk about self-serving. You hypocrite! You're exploited and incredibly indoctrinated.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
3) Lastly, your own question begs YOUR own answer. An atheistic view of the world dictates ethical and moral choices be made rationally and logically and are not subject to superstition or inane (or even insane) "beliefs". So, in conclusion, Anthony made one of the lamest points that I've seen on YouTube, to date.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
fortunne: Atheists are not worse then believers in God when it comes to contributing to the good in society. Just because the religious need something to believe in to keep them from being evil people doesn't mean it makes them better people.
powerplusgood 4 years ago
Good choices, based on being authentic to who I really am, not what someone else thinks I should be. I honor the diversity of all life and honor it as well. Something Christians don't do.
maggothon 4 years ago
1) I didn't say I don't have beliefs. You're putting words in my mouth. Also, I have every right to say whatever I would like to say, no matter how much it might potentially offend you or anyone else. What I said -- if you read between the lines -- is that the ideal for any thinking and fully-functional human being to strive for is a COHERENT, CONSISTENT, and INTEGRATED SYSTEM of related beliefs. That system is empirically-based (based on the tenets of Science).
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
2) Each and every belief contained in a well-designed belief system is inserted, deleted, or modified into the structure according to the rules of logic (rational thought) to maintain the consistency and integrity of that coherent system. This is NOT the approach or system of theology which instead prescribes and demands that beliefs will be derived from the unobservable, un-measurable, and un-provable (the magical, supernatural, and superstitious realms) and irrationally maintained.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago

KobyBrandt 4 years ago
I have two short things to say:
You say that being religious makes me self serving ("What is the ultimate goal of religion? Eternal personal salvation, right? You get 72 virgins, nirvana, heaven, the "after"-life if you play the religious game according to its rules right?")
fortunne 4 years ago
First off, your example is of Hinduism or Islam, or one of "those" religions (I use that word since I dont know much of religions of that area). However, being a Christian, my "life-purpose" is not to glorify myself, but to glorify the one who made me. I dont believe in God becuase I am afraid of science, or becuase I only want to go to heaven. I believe in God becuase that is what I believe in. I jsut cant believe that this was all an accident.
fortunne 4 years ago
Secondly, I have a question to ask you. How can you prove your theory? Yes, we know that there was this big bang, but whos to say that a supirior being played no part in that? If its all just a mixture of gasses floating around in the right place at the right time, where did they come from then? Who made those? You seem to like science, so you should know that matter cannot be created nor distroyed, so how did it all get here?
fortunne 4 years ago
the pressence of a question (ie- how did it all get here) does NOT prove that GOD exists. People who BELIEVE in GOD are making the outragous claim. The burden of proof is on YOU- not me. peace, Davis
davisfleetwood 4 years ago
Well, I CAN believe that it was all an accident and have no problem with that whatsoever. It's part of the unknown that may, someday, become a known -- which I can wait for & accept as not knowing. I can also easily accept that I may never know. If you wish to personalize your Universe by inventing an imaginary friend and to delude yourself into thinking that you have all the cosmological answers, go right ahead -- no one is stopping you. Just keep it to yourself & no one will bother you.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
I didn't mention any theory at all -- but YOU implied a supernatural explanation, not a natural one (Creationism / "Intelligent Design"). My argument wasn't about science or the creation of the Universe. it was about atheism & the false claims & specious arguments regarding atheism & the existence of god(s) that you made in your comments above. The onus is totally upon religion, not science, to demonstrate the existence of THEIR god(s). I'm not here to discuss "how it all got here".
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
However, in the same way that I cannot give solid 100% proof that there is a god (hence the term belief), you cannot give 100% solid proof that there is NOT a god, or can you? I have not invented an "imaginary friend" as you claim I have, nor do I think I have all the answers to everything. I understand that I dont know things like how the soul works. I also realize that the presence of a question does not prove that God exists, but the answer to that question just might.
fortunne 4 years ago
As for the topic of separation of church and state (I think that's what this video is about, I've gotten so side-tracked by our little debate :P), I believe that the government should not and cannot tell people what to believe, obviously, its in the Bill of Rights, or something like that. I also do not believe that kids should not be taught what to believe in schools (unless its a religious school). Everyone has a right to believe what they want, I just ask that people stay open-minded.
fortunne 4 years ago
1)
"You cannot give 100% solid proof that there is NOT a god,"
You cannot prove existence in the negative sense, but only in the positive. That's a fundamental principle of logic.
"You cannot give 100% solid proof that there is NOT a Santa Claus,"
No, but I can say with a relative degree of certainty (virtually absolute certainty) that Santa Claus does not exist.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
2)
Why, because no credible evidence has been given (proof) to show that he DOES EXIST and all evidence that would irrefutably "prove" his existence (such as a house at the North Pole, elves, Rudolph, etc.) has never been produced or is any way credible. But kids see those presents under the tree now don't they? They must have gotten there "somehow". Maybe "someone" put them there?
"..but the answer to that question just might."
The question you're asking will not yield a proof.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
3)
I agree that open-mindedness is a good thing - but being careful, mindful, & skeptical while processing all the perceptual input is a very critical component of the process of accepting the input as storable, or alternatively, rejecting it & discarding it. Constantly reviewing the beliefs and assumptions that you hold -- i.e. questioning your beliefs, especially your core beliefs -- is also critical to properly maintain your belief system -- which is, afterall, the home for your thoughts.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
"You cannot prove existence in the negative sense, but only in the positive. That's a fundamental principle of logic."
Except you can, as per the folowing statement:
"There does not *exist* a picture of you on my desk"
Im also sure you can verify that statement to be true.
fortunne 4 years ago
I'm growing weary of this going back and forth with you on the rules and principles of logic. I've studied formal and symbolic logic for many years and I'm extremely adept at its proper use. It's glaringly obvious that you have not and I'm not here to teach you, nor do I desire to without ample compensation.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
If you wish to learn, then please go do so. You also apparently have never studied the myriad of Ontological arguments that philosophy has to offer written over the centuries that come to the same conclusion as I have stated above. Go do all of that first, and then come back and we'll talk.
KobyBrandt 4 years ago
That doesnt mean I cant make a good argument ;)
I believe what I believe, and that is the end of that.
fortunne 4 years ago

Thanks for the laugh.
Clammypollack 4 years ago
Clammypollack: You may as well be a politician the way you try to divert the subject away from what you don't like by saying the other guys are worse. The thing about what you are saying is that Atheists don't claim to be good like the religious do when they kill. Way to show off your jackassness with the technology God gave to you. Keep up the good work you have just helped to make point often overlooked about the religious vs atheists. You make religious people look bad.
powerplusgood 4 years ago
Clammypollack 4 years ago
Clammypollack You are right about religious people not caring what others think as that is part of the selfishness that they concentrate on. They only do things cause of the promised prizes and for no other reason. It is an imposed morality. It is all very selfish so why don't the religious who don't care what others think leave the others alone. I agree with Davis religion has cause more death and suffering than anything else on the planet and continues today with Bush's war on Islam for oil

Nevermind, I just got that impression from the fact that Hillary and Huckabee censor. Having just checked Obama, Dodd, and Romney, I found that not all of the candidates censor.
facelesscoward 4 years ago
Censoring comments indecates you don't want people to give you their opinion you only want to show opinions that reflect your own and is a clear indication you are not asking a legitimate question. This will spread throught the YouTube community and you will be brandit as a manipulator of the medium and most likely a manipulator of the people and you are not to be trusted.
powerplusgood 4 years ago
powerplusgood,
I have yet to find a YouTube channel that does not censor or block. Not ONE. Except for, perhaps, Pat Cordell's channel. This is not the oasis of free speech it purports to be.
I don't kow if Davis deletes, but he certainly allows dissenters to express opinions.
meredumais 4 years ago

I'm for Kucinich!
freidabee 4 years ago
If we based all our beliefs on evidence and the actions people take we would most definitely have a better world. A world were people are not trained to have blind faith from birth that many transfer to their politics which allows them to support illegal wars, torture, and uninhibited corruption. We should train our children to pay attention to the actions of our politicians, instead of accepting the words that are so easy for them to speak in an effort manipulate but are rarely honored.

POWERPLUSGOOD-
I made a huge mistake in my comment to you earlier.
Peace.

So our leaders can use us to do they're biding.religion is not bad just the people using it to do bad things. the word of God gets corrupted by these people for that reason.
joemwm 4 years ago

Isn't secular communism responsible for more deaths than religion? They both can be abused. Sometimes religion can provide a good morale compass, and other times, radical religious ideology can be very destructive.
Phrozenbot 4 years ago
Are you talking about deaths that have occurred over the entire history of Man? You know, like as in millenia?

As far as we know yes, from what I understand.

Although I wouldn't endorse a Baptist understanding of faith, I have to comment on the myth stated in this video blog that religion is responsible for wars. Factually, it has been the atheistic ideological governments which have the most blood on their hands.

Hi Davis,
I think the questioning here is quite pertinent to his campaign. I hope you're not too caught up in any need to defend your statements here, because you don't really need to.
I myself am surprised that a Professional Baptist Minister would push for a National Sales Tax, knowing full well how NEGATIVELY it would affect the Churches he once presided over in Arkansas.
Video Approved !

MuslimUnity,
This is a sincere question.
