  • the whole point of high kick is to kick NOT to high... you suposed to kick higher then normal kick or side kick :)

  • @TRANFUCKER you do turn the head to help the spin but you dont have to see the target since any kick launched at full speed cant be altered afterward unless you decide to throw a fake at the outset

  • @scarred10 YES U TURN THE HEAD FOR BOTH HELP THE SPIN AND SEE THE TARGET TOO PAL, IT IS MUCH BETTER TO SEE THE TARGET ITS ONLY MILISECONDS. BELIEVE ME IT'S MUCH BETTER TO SEE THE TARGET. BUT IF CASE NEEDS TO ALTER THE KICK U CAN RETRACT YOUR LEG FOR NOT TO LAND THE KICK, BE IT CUZ HE ALREADY GOT AWAY OR PERHAPS FOR WHATEVER REASON YOUR FOOT CAN GET HURT. BUT NO, TOO MUCH EFFORT USING A SPIN KICK FOR A FAKE, TOO MUCH WASTED ENERGY, AND U KNOW WHEN U DON'T HIT U GET HIT HAHA.

  • @TRANFUCKER ie been training tkd longer than youve been alive,you cannot take the time to look at the target after you spin before kicking,you look at the target and spin so quick the target will still be there,you are glancing over the shoulder but since the kick has already been launched you cannot change its course .

  • @scarred10 whose your master tranfucker for fuck sake, when i trained kyokushin they told me to look so you break your foot or get sweeped out, in Muay Thai the kick is different and they told look so you won't get you're ass wooped. It's the same time you just turn your head right away, you don't take the time you analyze like you were on sightseeing you focus you mind and body to hit the blur you targeted in your head.

  • You can also do these same exercises with your martial art belt (if you have one). I've been doing them that way for years. The bands are probably a little easier though. Just adjust the length of the belt accordingly, and try and loop it around the foot closer to the heel than the toes, it just feels better that way and puts the stress on the stronger part of the foot.

  • Excellent demonstration, you can see how it works the whole body and really strengthen the gluts.
