  • @maceuz Did I say she was THE BEST? I said one of the best. Both Freddie and Steve are like Gods to me. Both are all time faves on my list. But Steve's voice is gone and has been for a long time. He was still one of the best in his time though. I'm just saying that Ann Wilson is overlooked as being one of the great rock voices. Examples (not complete): Freddie, Steve Perry, Robin Zander, Paul Stanley, Sammy Hagar, Steve Walsh, Geddy Lee, Paul Rogers, Ann Wilson, Phil Lynott, Robert Plant, Ozzy.

  • Love it.

  • cjahrens i agree

  • the 70s rocked.

  • wow this is terrible

  • nothing sexier than a sexy woman singing

  • Agree with jpoprock

  • They are loved worldwide yet, somehow, they still have not received their due tribute.

  • @OgreMageBand

i would have ta beg ta disagree with ya.....of the late 70's-80's bands?....top 20 fer sure.....

  • Oh yeah that was Ann at 1:45, not the guitar =)

  • 1:44

  • The awesome Ann Wilson. Great era that was, late 70s, many great vocalists.

  • she kinda looks and sounds like winnona ryder here....

  • Who came here because of Trip Fontaine thumb up!

  • Hell yeah babyyyyyyy!

  • Ann always sings with the mic very close to her mouth.

  • @TheWhalerfan Yah, and as someone said in the other video, too bad it wasn't a great mic

  • They blew ELO off the stage and when ELO did go on, they dubbed their sound and got caught in L.A. and got beer and everything else tossed at them, and they said :FK you LA" and walked off.. Then Heart came back out and finished the album.. It was spectacular!

  • i love this song

  • She shows so much emotion when she sings this song. I have watched it a thousand times!

  • Oooohh...<3 Heart

  • Mike Fisher talks about those speakers and the dry ice on Roger's web site. They designed and built those speakers themselves. The full mix of instruments was present in all the speakers and they could all hear themselves anywhere on the stage (that enabled them to run around, which they did a lot). Unfortunately, I think the Midnight Special under-mic'd Ann for this performance. Ann practically has to eat her mic to push herself high enough in the mix to hear herself.

  • miss having roger on the guitar

  • Just saw them in concert...loved them :)

  • I wish I was that microphone lol she's so hot

  • Another great one!

  • I would marry Nancy just for being closer to Ann !!

  • whatever happened to the lead guitarist?

  • @ponata3 Cheated on Nancy, Nancy dated drummer, tensions in band caused him to freak out on stage, was fired by Ann shortly after. Was part of crappy ballad band 'Alias' in 80's, then didn't really do much after. Too bad, the original lineup was by far the best.

  • I love this video.

  • HEART rocked the 70's... Ann has a magic voice! she's a magic woman!

  • fucking outstanding. And she is Beautiful!

  • I prefer the studio version vocals on this one...it's fun to watch Ann start out with that cartoonish voice and then let her self to into her trademark WAILS...

  • Started in Vacouver Canada, officially from Seattle.

  • @TheWhalerfan Yups they did, at "Oilcan Harry´s" downtown Van and at "Madigans" in Surrey

  • great ! A song decidaded to me;)

  • Whenever I'm in the car, and I got dibs on full radio rights, I always switch it to the local classic rock station. And if hearts is to begin playing, I get to serenade all my friends with my... er... beautiful voice.

  • Pure voice in the era before electronic enhancement i.e Lady Gaga..........

  • Ann and Nancy!! They Kick Lady Gaga's a**!!

  • Great job!!!!!more Heart!!!!

  • All you Lady Gaga fans out there, sit down because Ann Wilson is a million times the singer/songwriter Gaga will ever be. Plus she's fully clothed!

  • @curtarmmar and she's not retarded!

  • @curtarmmar AMEN TO THAT!!!!

  • Her voice freaking ROCKSSSSSS!

And her sis Rocks on guitar!

We need more chicks like this!

Evanescence's singer is my absolute favorite women singer....... for the bands of today! She can really rock and belt it out great, too!

  • Too bad they didn't have better mics. Her voice is too much for that tiny thing they gave her.

  • This HQ version sounds incredible. Clear video too, hard to believe it was made in the 70's.

  • This bad was so hot in the 70's and these sisters burned a hole in the world they were so hot. Once of the best voices EVER. I love that I was in college these years!!! Still they rock in the 2010's

  • Heart is a national treasure!!!

  • Her voice is amazing, I <3 Heart?

  • Best Female Rock singer. My opinion, and I'm sticking to it.

  • female, male... doesn't matter. She had and still has one of the best voices in rock ever.

  • @jpoprock what if she was a tranny? would it matter? i thought so

  • @jpoprock Ha, better than Steve Perry and Freddie Mercury? I guess you have never heard of them.

  • Anne has the best female rock vocals of all time, nobody can belt it out so clear and loud as she does and her sister sure plays a mean guitar. Is there any girl duo today that can match their awesome sound...NOPE!

  • What a great performance by Heart back in the day! Fantastic vid quality and sound as well. Mike Derosier kicks so much ass.

  • Awesome sound and visual - Ann was so natural and pretty

  • Ann looks pretty damn good in this video.Well it was almost 35 years ago. This is a Classic song, I love it.

  • MORE! MORE! MORE! I live in the Northwest, and Heart rarely get play, even on classic rock stations. Sad, sick and wrong. This band is a national treasure.

  • @benbrownjr dude heart is all over our radio stations, so is all of the other bands that really mean something. its amazing

  • @benbrownjr Isn't Heart from the Northwest?

  • @spydereleven I think that's pretty much the point of what @benbrownjr wrote.

  • Nice. One Question though. Did Burt Sugarman impose a time restraint on them? Crazy on You was full length but not Magic Man. Would have loved to see a full length performance of this song.

  • @muckerwood: If I remember correctly the program was 90 minutes, including commercials, so there was a time constraint.

    Great performance!

  • wow, this Midnight Special show is awesome. Lots of good performers and performances. BTW, thanks for the HQ version.

  • Ann is great!!

I found this clip in super quality.

  • This takes me back! Thanks for posting this video :-)
