@B8NAMMO 1) 20-something & still living with mommy & daddy--save up $5000 & tell your boss you won't mind if he tells you to go take a hike. 2) You're a homeless alcoholic with SS Disability 3) You're a woman recently divorced with alimony but no house & u want to celebrate your freedom 4) U have 2-3 weeks vacation every year & u section hike it in 5-10 years 5) You're retired (not quite arthritic yet) & u saved $5000 for this hike 6) your spouse works & you're taking a break between jobs.

Blending in with nature is fine until you are desperate to be found. Dress with the appropriate colors accordingly.

Don't you like the shelters along the way of trail. We had a few that just stunk and we pitched our tents then. We always had a great time meeting new people young and old. A lot of the time, we had the shelters to ourselves. The rain at first bothered us but then we joked if it did rain. Enjoying your videos

@DennyRec i did the shelter thing for a while on my 2010 thru hike... my group liked to stay in or around them so i went along, but i much preferred my hammock. it stunk too, but it stunk the same as me so i didnt actually notice it. hah! i always hated shelters more than like .3 mile off the trail, especially after a long day and you just wanna crash.
