So, did they accept this even though it was past the contest entry date... and you won the laptop? Congrats for that. Great job on the video. You could show this to your prospective employer or one like it.
I recall submitting it the day before the video contest closed, so I'm sure that I made the deadline. It was quite a despairing few weeks because they said the winner would be notified within two weeks of the contests close. I wasn't contacted until April 22nd I believe. Over three weeks after my submission. And yes, I am currently using the laptop to type this very message! And look at the date! April 21, 2009. Tomorrow is my one year anniversary!
just wondering were you satifisfied with the shipping did the comp work and all that kinda junk i wanna buy a comp from there inventualy within a year so i just wanna know i heard a lot of bad stuff about there comps just wanna hear diffrent points of view
I got my desktop from them back in 2005 and I never had problems with it. It was supposed to arrive on a monday and it actually came on Saturday, so shipping was really fast. As for the laptop I won from them, I am using it to type this message. Works great! I would highly recommend them because you decide what to put in it and aside from performing better than any retail pc, its also much much cheaper.
Get a quad core processor or i7, 4gb of ddr2 memory, a 9800 or series 200 Nvidia card and some fancy lights and your pc will kick ass for a year or two. They give you spacious gaming cases as well, so upgrading cards/parts is a sinch.
i waiting for my laptop alrady 3 weks from april 7,delivery make me crazy,It will be the same laptop you win ,i cant wait anymore ,its supost delivere tomorow.......
I used quite a few programs...actually, this video has been converted and rendered like 30 times over, so I am surprised that it's even viewable...a bit of lag on the portal gameplay, but that's alright.
I used Pinnacle 11, Camtasia studio, adobe after effects, and windows movie maker.
I recorded me typing using camtasia. I used adobe after effects for the opening and the "maximum everything" clip, I used Pinnacle for the end credits, and I used windows movie maker to compress it all.
I spent quite a bit of time on it. I found out about the contest 4 days before the end, so I spent a total of probably 6+ hours coming up with the video and putting it all together.
Best of luck to you too, your video was very interesting. I liked your sense of humor too.
I use only Premiere Pro for my videos, although I should try and find something to do graphics and effects. My transitions are pretty basic, and it would've been nice to add some text overlays.
Also, I use only Premiere because it takes such a long time to render the video; I can't imagine going back and forth between two programs and having to render and convert it over and over.
Ive been looking to buy a new pc for the past few months, I was going to build it with parts off of newegg and tigerdirect, but after watching this video earlier today I checked out cyberpowerpc and spent awhile customizing a desirable pc. I have to say I was impressed by the price and wide range of hardware options. Thank you, I may consider a cyberpower purchase.
My choice would be to get a Macbook Pro since you have some good editing software available (Although you have to buy Final Cut Pro). But this is still good especially since if you win, you don't have to pay for it.
Editing software is nice, but I would much rather have a cyberpower setup for the awesome gaming reasons, and thanks to the Intel's Core 2 Duo processor I could use it's all around speedy awesomeness for school stuff too. Apple just isn't the same, plus I can run plenty of awesome video editing aps on my current rig.

Excuse me but what is the song used in the first section/s of this video?
I reconise it, is it an old game? I like it alot. please comment back on my wall with the title!
Good presentation btw, thanks!
ugforthewin 3 years ago
he First song is the Windows welcome music for Windows XP (when you are installing it)
If you have windows XP you can get this song for free, it is on your computer.
To get it you have to go to this location on your computer.
Microsoft Windows Welcome Music
Go to My Computer > local disk(C:/) > WINDOWS > system32 > oobe > images. The song is a .wma file, and it is called "title"
That will be the first song from my video.
I hope this helped!

Yes, I am wondering the same thing. I haven't been contacted yet, so I'm sure that I'm not the lucky one.. :(
They said winner will be contacted within 2 weeks, and it has cleary exceeded that time, so idk...
I'm sure they'll announce it soon.
Superman575575 3 years ago
yeah lets hope. i hope they didn't make us do this contest thing for nothing.
kh3m1c4l 3 years ago
lol free advertising! Those bastards!
We were just puppets in their evil plan to cyberpowerize youtube.
Superman575575 3 years ago
Impressive video!
What program did you use to edit it? I did my contest entry using Premiere Pro; some of the transitions look familiar.
How did you do the text part at the beginning?
Good luck; if anyone (aside from myself!) deserves to win the contest, it's you.
How long did you spend editing your video?
