  • hi i am in need of something like the compost turner attachement you are using. what is the manufactuer and model on you attachement?

  • why could you not windrow it with a blade and then go back and aerate the whole windrow with a compost turner, seems like it would go much faster than an aeration machine on every pass???

  • @CuppsFarms You could windrow with a snow blade but you will not break up cake or hard pan like the aeration machine will do and the smaller you can get those wet chucks of cake mixed in with the dry material the faster it heats up and the hotter it will get. You don't just want it in a pile, you want it blended together. In early tests we compared it to houses pushed up with blades and buckets, and de-caked on same farms. Houses that had it windrowed with aeration machine did the best!

  • It has also been well documented that the windrows take longer to heat up and it will never get as hot as blended material using an aeration machine.

  • yes a bucket can be used but it takes alot longer to windrow and it doesn't break the litter & cake up like an aeration machine does.

  • couldnt you just use a bucket?

  • turkey manure is the best makes grass grow 6 ft tall
